The CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) warns people specifically with peanut allergies to not consume Universal Hi Protein bars & Doctor's CarbRite diet bars listed at the bottom of this article. The supplement bars may contain peanuts that haven't been listed on the label.
The declared supplement bars are listed below. All lots which are missing the allergen statement "Allergy Alert: Made on equipment that also processes soy, milk, egg, peanuts and tree nuts" or "This product may contain traces of nuts" and which bear a Best Before date up to and including June 30, 2012 (EXP 063012) are affected by this alert.
