So i recently went to a seminar with jay cutler. for the most part it was pretty boring and nothing anyone has not heard before. eat lots train hard blah blah. but he said for the olympia he spends almost 200 gs . including massage and food and everything. anyone else think that ridiculous? i thought 10 gs was stupid for getting ready for provincials and that was paying my trainer 2

Well, an hour massage every day could easily run $60/hour, that's $21900 a year right there... $200k is probably a reasonable cost for what hes doing. Not to mention GH... lol

I thought it would be more than that.

Okay, well he is obviously getting the best of the best people in every area of what he needs help with right. The 'best of the best' personal trainers could charge $400 plus easy per hour. Personal this, personal that = $$$. The best food, how much, $500 a week? No idea but it all adds up. Maybe 2 massages a a day for $200 a pop... who knows. If he spent $1500 a day for 4 months that's around $183,000. lol. How many IU of GH? $$$

Years ago 10K was the figure cited to make a run for it.

Agreed.

And if you are spending 200k to get ready for the Mr O...you are THE dumbest bodybuilder on the planet!!

Maybe they switched the decimal on the price of his beef. $500/lb, 6 meals, 8oz each = 3lb = $1500/day = ~180000 for 4 months

Id even wager $10K for a provincial or national level show puts you in the same category

i really dont think 10 k is that crazy i spent 2 gs on my trainer prolly about 800 a month for food and i dieted for 20 weeks cause i was a fat ass. 1000 a month on growth and your at ten in no time

Im sorry but you cant count food. You'd have to eat anyway so figure out the cost above what you normally eat and then that's your cost of food. At most i'd wager that to ne about $300 extra.

You chose to spend 2k on a trainer when you didnt have to and could have found a cheaper yet equally good alternative.

You dont need to run GH. It helps but certainly isnt required to do well.

So yes, i still think people who spend $10k to prep for a PROVINCIAL level show are whacked lol

This year Nationals I will definitly be spending around 4k. With food, supplements, massage, trainer fees, hotel etc. It is a hell of a lot of money but its spread over a 5 month period. Bodybuilding isnt cheap no matter what you do.

That is on NO GH, slin, peptides or other expensive shit. keep in mind 4 grand for a 22 y.o. with a min wage job is a good chunk. But it would be more like 3500 if i didnt add up the food like i did. Nates right u gotta eat so u cant count all your food.
