My brother gave me a bottle of protien powder, I think it's 6-8 months old.
Is it safe to use it?
Thanks

If it was stored in a cool dry place and wasn't opened then you should be OK. How does it smell and taste?

its fine. whey protein is practically powdered milk, which lasts forever. it might taste a bit stale but there is no harm at all in using it. you wouldnt believe me if i told you some of the supplements ive consumed after their "expiry" date.

Yah if it was free i agree with the others try it and if it sits well with your stomach its good to go. They have to have a expiry date but it doesnt mean 1 day after its expired it will be completely useless and make you sick. Even medications have expirys and most times are good to use although they are out of date. But if you take it and on the odd chance you feel it upsets your stomach or smells obviously off just toss it out and get some new stuff. I work at a store that sells protein and when stuff is expired we cant sell it but id use it.
