Experiencing noteable DHT side effect for the first time in 10 years of using....

So I have used for 10+ years off and on and have run many cycles. I always had to combat estrogen side effects, which I became pretty knowledgeable about over the years.

I haven't used a cycle in more the 9 months and I decided to run a light cycle of just TEST-E while dieting for summer. So I am only pinning with 250mg every 7 days.

I have developed the worst scalp itch I have ever felt and it is driving me crazy. So I am convinced that my hair follicles are being effected by way too high DHT Levels. Kind of baffles me as this is the first time this has happened and most cycles I have done in the past I used between 500 to 600 mg of test/wk. So this low dosage side effect is nuts...

Anyway those who have used proscar (finasteride), to block DHT, did it help with the scalp itch? If so, after getting off proscar and your cycle, did the scalp itch stay away?

I was listening to the superhumanradio show and there was an hrt doctor talking about how reducing harm for the "Do-It-Yourself Hormone Replacement Therapy Users". At the end, they were talking about proscar side effects. The most common one is ED. Cialis/viagra is a must for the majority. And also, the erection issues can stay as long as one year after you stop taking it... Crazy!

Yes, I read the same thing... I actually read that the ED can be permanent after prolonged use. Definitely one of the scarier drugs to play around with.... perhaps I should give my saw palmetto a bit more time to kick in before trying proscar. I don't care about loosing my hair if it ever happens, I just can't stand the itch my scalp has.

I dated a girl who's previous boyfriend suffered from ED and minimal sex drive after using proscar/propecia/finasteride.

I was told it took him 2 years to recover after using it for 2 years... thats 4 years without libido :S

yes... I think it is time to shave the hair off. Sex and a functional dick is much more important than hair. Too bad I picked up proscar before knowing about the side effects. I also found out that there are lawsuits in Canada and the US from a tonne of guys who went impotent after taking it and even after quitting for 4 years they still couldn't get it up.

Does Dutasteride cause the same problem as Finasteride?
