I first joined a gym when I was 19, didn't work out. Then joined a different gym when I was 24, didn't work out. The reason it didn't work out was due to social anxiety and a severe alcohol problem. I have the alcohol problem beat and the social anxiety is now getting better.
Looking to finally achieve the body and mental focus that I so desire.
I'm a fan of hockey, football, baseball, basketball, and mma.
I will be joining a gym again in September due to money problems at the moment. In the meantime, walking/jogging and basketball as well as lifting what little weights I have at a home are my current workouts.

Avatars like Mr Ontario's is half the reason I want to be in shape.
I have a lot to prove. I'm tired of being ridiculed. When I started and stopped training I was made fun of because I gave in. When I post my starting pictures I'm made fun of. When I told everyone I was quitting drinking I was called a pussy. None of this matters now. I want to forget all my mistakes, forget that I've quit, and live in a new day, where I reign.

Hey Mr. Freeze, sorry about your Habs man. I'm a big hockey fan as well. Favorite team is Toronto, favorite player is Sean Avery (I find the guy totally hilarious and he's probably the best pest in the game).

Hi Averynumber1, welcome to CBB. I'm in the same boat as you with the gym costs, I find my local Y offers a great price. Watch those big corp gyms, they will bleed you dry. Hint: Bally's is notorious at ruining your credit if you miss a payment for example. Luckily we don't have them here in Canada. I wanna congratulate you on beating the alc addiction. You're strong to beat the alc monkey and you're even stronger now to get in shape and "mma" those naysayers. :-)
Keep us posted.

Hey Iron, saw your transformation pics. Very inspirational. My brother looks about the same as you when you started. Need to show him what he can be with hard work.
