What is everyone's experience with the protein flavour packs? The trueprotein recession blend deals for 25 and 50lbs are un flavoured and one would have to buy flavour packs. does anyone have experience with them? How many 50g packs would one need to buy to flavour 25lbs of protein? Do you have to flavour each shake or do you pour/mix the flavour pack into the bag of protein? Any info on flavour packs and experience with them would be awesome. The different flavour list is extensive and quite exciting so looking for feedback before I order.

The site says one pack does 10-15LBS of protein, so I would assume you'd just add your own measure of spoonful of the flavoring to your shake..
I am also curious to reviews on the flavors, Flavour pack vs Premium flavour pack.

I am going to get the 50lb Recession Protein and buy about 10-15 diff flavour packs. I like the idea that each shake can be a new flavour and that you have a say in how strong the taste is. 50lbs+ 10 premium flavour packs comes to around $33 per 5 lbs including shipping & taxes.
Over 40 Flavours! Exotic flavours too like vanilla birthday cake, peanut butter and jelly, peaches and creme, chocolate peanut butter cup.
Any flavours you guys want me to try?

If you try any of the premium flavors vs the regular priced flavors that would be a nice review. I am going the same route as you, as buying from the bulk Canadian sponsor is not the best deal anymore.

Yup I crunched the numbers with all the other bulk canadian suppliers and it is now worth while to go through True Protein.....this fact along with the 40 different flavours will make me give them a try. If only they could some how reduce the shipping costs to canada i gaurantee their business would rise dramatically. I am going to pay close to $70 for shipping, HOWEVER, i do understand it is costly with today's fuel to ship 50lbs of protein across the continent.

Oh man, I find the flavor of chocolate and coconut terrible. I couldn't even imagine trying it with protein. Chocolate flavored protein is my least favorite. Vanilla or plain is what I like most. Never tasted a true protein flavor. It was always plain. Same goes for most of the Canadian providers over the years. Flavorless protein for the win. Just add juice, water or skim milk :)

I've tried orange creamsicle and it was great, chocolate banana was fantastic, chocolate coconut was mediocre, strawberry kiwi was great, natural pineapple was good (acquired taste for stevia, but good nonetheless), strawberry creme was very good. One bottle does NOT flavour 10-15lbs, you might have enough for over 5lbs. It depends on how much flavour you like but for consistency with other brands, you'll need more.

So DainBramaged, If I have a 50lbs order should I look at getting 10 Flavour Packs? Would that suffice

Hey hey, I tried the Gaspari Myofusion Chocolate recently and it still sucked as bad as the turn of the century chocolate flavors. The vanilla was good :)

Hmm, it might. As I mentioned, it just depends on how much taste you like per shake. You could always start with 10 different ones (or a combo of whatever flavours you like) and go from there. Just use about a quarter/third of a teaspoon per shake - as an approximation - and test it out. I like having the variety, so when I want a different taste, I can. Never get tired of having shakes then. I'd like to try the strawberry cheesecake and key lime pie but haven't ordered lately. There's others that sound good too. It's all up to you.

Not a good start with my first order experience:
Thank you for your first order with True Protein- due to many fraudulent orders originating in Canada, we ask that you verify that this order is not fraudulent by sending us a copy of your ID along with the card you are using for this order (blacking out all numbers except the last 4 for security). You can either scan and email this to us or fax to 760-433-5379. You may also send funds to PayPal@TrueProtein.com if that is easier for you. Once we receive this, we can process and ship your order. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
This is a huge hassle for me and will obviously delay my order...ugh

WTF what a hassle haha I need to order very soon. I haven't tried any of the flavour packs, I'm going to go with all LBA's this time around to see how that works out. I'm all about unflavoured

A little update on my first order. I placed the order on May 12th. Because of some red tape in their first time customer system it was not shipped out until the 17th. It is now the 21st of May. So closing in on two weeks. For claiming 4-6 days to Canada I find it quite a bold statement. Looking forward to getting my products.

should arrive monday or tuesday...good timing if you look at it as being sent on the 17th, which might not even get out until the 19th, a monday.

I'm in the same boat. My order was placed May 14th and still hasn't arrived 10 days later.. Little disappointed,
a) Their banner says NO TAX - but you are charged tax!
b) They claim 4-6 days shipping to Canada - i'm at day 10
c) Their flavor packs are advertised as good for 10-15lbs of protein - now i'm being told otherwise

Yah still nothing....my concern with UPS is that they dont have a place where you can go pick it up like Canada Post. I work 9-3 and they always come by my place around noon. If they miss you enough times d they ship it back????????

Purolator always dropped mine off and I'd go get it from them after if I missed it. I don't know if it'd be the same as where you are, not many shipping options so maybe purolator has a contract to handle ups in this area, who knows

I"m a vanilla girl. I use to flavor my shakes with Crystal light. Orange cream sickle was to die for. I don't care for most vanillas as much, seems the soy used in them lately is taking away the great tastes. I"m cheap..not buying the expensive isolates.
I'd love to try flavor packs.

So it arrived, i was relieved. The 50lbs comes in 2x25lbs huge plastic bags. Ive put them into 10lb bags (quite a messy/powdery job). Measuring out 2-3grams of the flavour from the packs is prooving to be inconvenient but i must admit the two flavours ive tried so far are bang on and delicious (Chocolate Peanut butter Cup/ Watermelon wave). Ill keep you guys posted. Im thinking for convenience sake Im just going to see what 1-2 flavours i like the best out of the 15 flavours i ordered and then go with a pre made protein in that flavour from here on out.

I put mine into 10 lb jugs, no mess, heck my girl does it no mess....LOL, Im glad it all made it safe and sound, unfortunately, it is in ups hands after it leaves on time from TP.....Let us know the favorite flavour bro...I may get some flavor packs next order.....I find it strange, i have never gone more than 10 days to get my order in Alberta, and i order every month on the same date like clockwork, NOT ONE time was it longer....I wish we still had trueprotein Canada, who knows, it may happen some day.....Anyone want to partner up, we can start one, i know one of the guys at TP head office.....lol...I seriously have thought about it......
