amount of water in protein shake?

might sound silly but i have always used 6 to 8 oz water per scoop of protein i have been not adding extra water for any added dextrose, but someone at the gym says i should also put in 8 oz of water for equilvalent dextrose added or it won't be abosrbed by the gut is this true lol/? i actually recall reading something like this by milos but wasn't sure if he was talking about same thing.

I think i read something about the osmolarity of the concentration as well but i highly doubt the concept will have any quantifiable change in end results. just my opinion though.

A moderate amount is fine...10-16oz is fine really makes no difference.
