hey p,

so just a question is there a certain bf % that your body likes to be at. for me it seems like i get to a certain weight and i wont gain anymore. so for when im cutting if i keep and maintain that lower bf i want to be at will my body eventually adapt to that over time and it will become easier to stay at that weight after carbs are slowly re introduced and cardio is dropped down slowly as well?

Your BF level is generally dictated by your calorie intake...remaining at a certain BF percentage will not make i easier to remain there once carbs etc are added back in. The best way to remain lean while trying to put on mass is to monitor carb levels and only eat enough to fuel the body and thus none are converted to fat. This is very difficult to do because our caloric expenditure varies day to day and to put on a significant amount of lean mass a calorie surplus is best. The one thing the body does remember is how low BF you have been down to...its similar to muscle memory once youve been there is easier to get there the next time.

Well I was boxing before I started this cut . The cut I'm currently on is a bb style. But before I was doing roughly 2.5 hours cardio a day and eating about same amount of calories as I am now 11 weeks into dieting. I only lost 3 lbs in 7 weeks. Is it possible my body was just storing fat as a security measure or something. I ask because I'm down roughly 18 lbs now and doing half the cardio. So was it possible my body was storing more calories because of how much high intensity cardio I was doing
I ask because eventually I would like to excersise in more of a healthy lifestyle not just low intensity cardio to keep lean but before didn't work at all. also im finding this cut much much harder than the last to drop the weight.
Thanks

Your body doesn't store calories because of the type of cardio you do. Unless you were actually measuring your food intake you dont know how many calories you were taking in and you cannot compare then to now. I cannot really tell you what is happening without knowing all the specifics...and you say your down 18lbs but doing have the cardio ....but its much much harder???

sorry just seen the reply... last time i cut the weight loss came steadier, than it is this time. i was doing all the same things my coach was telling me but right from the start weight loss was very slow. that 18lbs includes water weight so maybe 13 lbs of fat was lost in 14 weeks. i had to start clen earlier and drop carbs alot faster and still no weight loss. it dosn't make sense. i know it seems like oh he cheated or didn't put in the cardio but i measured everything and never ate a crum over just to be sure that i could have no doubt. i also did not miss a cardio session. but from weeks 10 to 14 not even a lb down. with cardio increasing every week and carbs being cut down to keto.

Each time we diet its different...welcome to BB...the body changes over time and things never work the same as last time. Changes are necessary to keep the fat coming off...again i cant tell you specifics unless you were following my plan from the start...some clients lose faster then others thats just the way it is.

Ok appreciate the replies P. I have taken a mental break now got pretty discouraged. But I'll hopefully find the will to get back into it.
