Whats your taking on this P?

Its been a few weeks after my show...ive managed to put on a good 25-30lbs by re-introducing carbs back into my meals...like a normal person again. What's your take on bulking for say a month or two..followed by a few weeks of cutting down? I ask this because I want to be at a place where I dont have to cut as much weight as I did in the prior show. ( im already getting a bit weary due to the amount of weight and size that has been put on)

Is there a better alternative to this? ( I know watching the scale would be a good indicator - as would just by the mirror too)

Well to be honest 25-30lbs in a few weeks is exactly what you DONT want to do. (not to mention its dangerous- peripheral edema) If you were reintroducing carbs correctly you should have put on at most 10-15lbs (depending on size) in a few weeks including water. The 25-30lbs you just put on is primarily water, with some fat and a very small amount of muscle. Guys blow up after shows because they eat way too many carbs and think they are growing new muscle...it doesnt work that way. After a show you need to reintroduce carbs very very slowly...25-30g in only three meals per day for 4 weeks then adjust again if necessary for the next 2-3 weeks. It takes the body 6 full weeks after precontest dieting to be able to metabolize carbs efficiently again. I would suggest cutting the carbs way back...drop alot of the water and see where you are at. Bulking and cutting doesnt work...the best idea is to try to gain lean mass slowly over time. By keeping your BF low your natural hormones will be optimized and you will be able to gain lean muscle much more easily.

the addition of cardio and up the fiber intake be a good idea to help cut out the extra water?

Not much...without lowering carbs you'll still retain tonnes of water.

prae- ive seen you mention this method for introducing carbs post dieting. would this apply to ppl who cut down with carbs in their diets? say carb cycling or whatever it may be and lower fats as opposed to no carbs and higher fats

Yes it still applies....I had carbs in my diet last year until 6 weeks out....still took 6 weeks to normalize.

I guess a better question would have been addition of the cardio and fiber with the combination of lowering / no carbs be best to get rid of the retention.

It may help yes....better digestion = less water retention....and cardio helps keep things moving.
