Hey P.
I always wanted to ask you how do you work with your female clients when they have excessive fat on their legs and butt (pear shaped). It's seem to be very common now these days.
I understand that the cause is excessive estrogen due to genetic, hormones (contraceptive pills), unhealthy liver, soy...
I was told that DIM+calcium d-glucarate works well for this situation.
Let me know what's your take on this.
Thanks!

I'm 6ft, 240lbs. lol. It's not for me. I'm just trying to help a friend of mine.
She's 5"5, 128pound. Fat is moslty on the triceps, thigh and butt. 23% bf. Wish to go down around 15%. She's not taking the contraceptive pill. She will probably start a very low carbs diet (veggies and nuts only), moderate fats and proteins .
Big problem is that she's on a certain medication for a long time (coumadin, anticoagulant). So she cannot eat too much green veggies, or use DIM or calcium d-glucarate. It's hard to use a cleanse for her liver as almost all plants/herbs are not permitted while using coumadin.
So how can she lose bodyfat on the lower body?

I haven't seen any proof that DIM+calcium d-glucarate is effective as the marketing suggests. It does help with estrogen dominance but that doesn't mean it will help with estrogen related fat stores. Because of the variety of factors you mentioned I would suggest a keto diet combined with weight training 4-5 times per week and cardio daily. As well she could use Yohimbine HCL or Yohimbe extract...see link below for more info. For a more aggressive approach 10mg twice daily 8 hours apart of tamoxifen citrate works well.

Hey, i get consistent compliments on how great my upper bodies looking but that i need to work on my lower, people don't realize how much harder it is to flaunt my legs with board shorts on >_< haha, i cannot really lift with my legs due to medical but i still think my legs are my nicest asset, how did i get them this way? BIKING in mass quantities, under allw either conditions and on long durations, bikers have the BEST butts! and my things are super tight!
i found that once i burned all the fat and turned what little muscle i did have into lean muscle my legs have bulked up fantastically! and its not 5 seconds of raw power these babies run for hours =D Please note this is not just road biking but mountain biking as well, going from a crazy down hill rocketing off downed trees and stuff to a low gear spinning 90 mph going up a seemingly straight slope and back down =D

Unfortunately, she cannot use yohimbine/nolva/dim/calcium d-glucarate as she's on anticoagulant medication. Not much you can use when you're taking coumadin. So I guess her best tools are keto diet and weight training.
Thank You Ted.

I would also add high dose fish oil - 3g 3x a day with meals - it will significantly help her lower body fat stores. Avoid soy like the plague along with plastic containers and other hormone disrupting chemicals including parabens in your shampoo/cosmetics etc. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/03/090326100714.htm

Consistent diet and training will be most effective (mostly diet). It takes time for women to lose ass/leg fat as this is the last place most women will lose their fat stores. I always see women at the gym with ripped backs and jiggly bums, just the way it goes for most of us.
Unless this girl is seriously into competing no need for many supps/drugs. Just keep eating clean and training smart and you will see results. Low carb diets work for me.

Thx to add your input ange. Do you believe that using the contraceptive pill can hinder results and even make the task impossible (as it raise estrogen level)?

Yes it would hinder results...it creates estrogen dominance and will make weight loss a challenge. Why is she on Warfarin? Using ground flax seed twice daily will help reduce excess bad estrogen.

Hey ted. She's on warfarin because she had a phlebitis while she was taking the contraceptive pill. It's a side effect that can happened in the first 6 months. The doctor told her it happened about once a month in the hospital he work, that a healthy young woman wake up with a phlebitis due to the contraceptive pill. The specialist recommended her to take it minimum 5years as the phlebitis done some damages to her veins.
Any idea on how much flax seed she need to use?

ahhh bummer...
There is also evidence that the following food products may affect warfarin levels:
avocado;
cranberry juice;
flax (flaxseed);
garlic;
ginger;
mango;
onions;
papaya;
seaweed (sushi wrap); and
soy protein products (including soymilk and tofu).

Probably can make it harder but not impossible IMO. I am not a big fan of cont. pill personally (I haven't really had a need for though because in the past 5 years I have been either lean enough not to ovulate or I have been pregnant! lol). I know many women competitors who use hormonal methods of bc but most seem to cut it out at some point during their prep. It all depends on your girls goals/priorities. For most women an unwanted pregnancy would be way worse than a little jiggle/junk in the trunk.

Sucks she ended up with this condition, even more reason to focus on health and let the appearance results just happen.
Was it a drospirenone type pill she was on when this happened? Just curious, seems to be a lot of law suit action concerning these products in recent years.
