this will be my last cheat day for 3 weeks... i "know" i should just do a cheat meal...but i love chocolate...

2 bacon egg mcgridles
8 choc chip cookies
2 chef jay choc indulgence brownies
medium pizza
3 glasses wine
10 chocolate riesens
kit kat chunky
twix
boston creme
waiting for big slab dairy queen cake

usually would of had a dble 1/4 cheese large fries and 6 chicken nuggets...but went light today

a cheat day of this magnitude is really a bad idea right? esp. when dieting, other 6 days are bang on

I can't cheat for a full day like that. I feel bad enough cheating after 6pm on Saturday nights. And I pay for it Sunday mornings. Ouff

Breads and pastas are a bad choice if that's your goal. Try veggies.

Post your diet up. I'm at a loss with you. It almost seems like you are over-complicating things. 1 month you are low carbing it and and the next month you are doing something different. It is non-stop for you. You've been in the game long enough to realize what the good foods are what aren't. You are going to have to create a lifestyle NOT a diet if you wish to succeed. Scrap the pastas and bread. Sure if you want a bit for your healthy lifestyle plan go ahead but if you want to be ripped then they are going to have to go. As I mentioned post up your plan and we will critique it. Hopefully we can get to a happy medium where you can have a couple of goodies but you are living a lean lifestyle.

1. As JonnyO has mentioned - not enough food.
2. I wouldn't combine carbs and fats (PB and bagel)
3. Cottage cheese - normal or low fat?
4. Not enough real food (I know PS will disagree).
5. Your workout shake is only with malto? Why not protein also? Personally if I was cutting I wouldn't have it.
6. All you had to add was Steel Cut and I would have guessed you were JKurtz (or whatever the **** his name is) LOL

shit forgot to add... 50gm protein in workout shake
low fat cottage cheese
the whole no carb with fat... i know guys that eat steak/potato?
open to suggestions..

looking back, i have 1 bananna a day, sometimes oatmeal at one meal and the bagel at another...usually leg day ..
usually 300gm protein, 200gm carbs and 50gm fat..

Add more food.
Sub shakes for solid protein meals - chicken, fish...etc
Count cals (that means weighing your food) to start and then you can eyeball it (since you just want to lose and are not doing a show)
Drop nuts, dairy, PB and workout shake.
Drop fruit. You don't have any veggies listed at all. Add in veggies and don't add dressing.
Those are my suggestions...good luck. Keep us updated.

dropping weight until happy...

Not with all those sugar-rich foods. You're eating a weeks worth of carbs and calories and fat + sodium. Choose one or two and let those be your cheat day presents. Presently I cheat 1-2 times a week since I'm nearing my goal weight. I indulge in a pizza slice or two. I've never gained the next day because I know my body is burning the fat I've accumulated all these years and being careful what I eat the whole week. Good luck man, enjoy the new you and keep posting here. We'll take care of you. :yeah

BTW, if you're on a low carb diet, beware that you will lose some muscle. Your body will catabolise muscle to feed itself. I've been low carb'ing the past 4.5 months but have been supp'ing protein and glutamine and eating meat like a cannibal to try to protect my previous muscle gains and I've still lost some size. Now nearing my preferred weight, it's time to muscle up and lose that few stubborn areas of fat. I will never go back to eating like a pig ever again but will up my carb intake with healthy foods and maintain my GOD-like body. LOL! :yeah

PLEASE NOTE: I apologize for the long post, I just had to share. Good luck to all the former-fatties. WOOT!
