if one were to take say one week of training (once per year, or perhaps once every 6 months) when would the ideal time for this be?
pre cycle?
pre dieting?
post dieting?
during dieting/cycle?
during off season?
it seems like there is no true best time...

My training cycles every 12 weeks or so, so then I cruise for 2 weeks or so before I hit it hard again. During that time I may train less frequent and go into the gym and do exercises I dont normally do, just go in mess around and get out.
But usually a needed break is post dieting, a week or two depending on how one feels.

it seems like there is no true best time...
Post dieting is prime time for an off period...usually I take a week off right after the contest...and post mass gaining cycle i take another week off...thats it for full weeks...then it would be days here and there depending on if you were sick etc or really fatigued.
