Another little tidbit that's news to me. Always knew to drink a lot of water, but who knew the timing effected things.

Drinking water at the correct time maximizes its effectiveness on theHuman body:


2 glasses of water after waking up helps activate internal organs

1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion

1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure

1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack

I do 3 of them since a long time even if I didn't know!^^ So, of course i'll continue! :)

Not only all that drink 3 to 4 glasses of water half hour before you work out. Drinking a few sips of water in between sets quenches your thirst but don't drink too much it could slow you down. Drink lots of water after your final cool down and then go try and find something to eat.

water is king =D haha although 3-4 cups 30 minutes before the workout? id be peeing every 20 minutes for like an hour >_< haha i usually consume 3-4 liters while at the gym just sipping on it over the course of my workout, and probably another 3-4 liters throughout the day haha its the way i was raised =D

Drinking water more is always useful at any time but drinking water early in the morning is the best time to drink water,..

it should say warm temp water, big difference vs cold water

after i read Prae's recommendation about drinking 1.5 to 2 gallons of water a day, i'm pretty much drinking it 24/7 anyways lol

Very informative post ob best time to drink water and few things were me for me so thanks for sharing with others also. Like to say water boost our metabolism and helps in losing and maintaining body weight. Water makes our skin healthy, regulates body temperature and moisturizes air in lungs. water reduce kidney stones and boost our energy level. Water protects and moisturizes our joints and prevents us from dehydration.

Water is so damned under-rated and it's as essential as fat or protein (more so actually), and yet to get guys or gals to drink enough water is like pulling teeth. Loads of smart reasons mentioned above to make sure one stays hydrated, and one other that's not mentioned is that staying well hydrated also assists in fat loss.

I drink 4L of water every day. To make sure I do it I start first thing in the morning when I wake up and I don't allow myself to go to bed until that jug is gone. If I'm lazy during the day that means I'll be up to pee all night long so I make sure to get it in evenly.
