It seems the bikini division has ironed out the kinks...after watching the Arnold this weekend I have a new found respect for this sport. I was never against the idea of this division but in past shows local/national/pro I have seen a lot of unappropriate stage actions, and the wrong type of physique awarded, etc... Most people here know what I mean.
The pro bikini competitors this weekend proved that this sport has evolved and is now what it was always intented to be. I have attached an image of the first call out. These girls are ripped and dehydrated just as much as pro figure competitors. They just stand more relaxed and in general hold a little less dense muscle. I am absolutely sure they train and diet just as hard. They also present themselves with class and only enough sex appeal to get across their femininity. I think getting rid of that walking with their backs to the judges helped.
This is the physique I believe most women would love to have. It reminds me of what figure used to be and probably was intended to be...

if its not based on politics, the judges will have a tough job.

They did walk with their backs to the judges in the finals, with the female commentator talking about how it was good in order for them to "emphasize their glutes". But anyway, these ladies were in fantastic shape!

I agree! I was just saying to Steve in another thread how I didn't think they belonged and now will gladly eat my words. They have my respect if they show up looking like that. Thats not easy regardless of genetics :)

I have to look at this again...but I am pretty sure what I watched was the finals, and there was no walking to the back shaking their stuff...I think the comments they made were that they actually got rid of it to tone down the sluttyness of the event. Maybe the amatuer kept it in?
