Rogers finally getting it, gonna change data plans to be more affordable..... fall launch i believe

Yeah, Rogers will change it to something like "unlimited data*" for $199/month.







* Unlimited data is not actually unlimited, your plan allows for 25 Mbytes of transfers a month and are subject to a $8/Mbyte surcharge for overages. :yeah:moon

whats the story on the unlocked iphones ..I hear you are able to get internet free...any truth to that

I believe it's free on a wifi network. Basically you use the Iphone as an expensive portable phone but it must remain within 300 feet of your wifi antenna.

Yep Wifi only... so if you're near someone with an unencrypted wireless router you're good to go.

I have one working unlocked on Rogers now, it's not hard. You can also turn your cell into a VOIP phone and route your long distance over the internet and get it pretty much free.

depending on what Rogers are going to unload the Iphones for...I might buy a unlocked iphone with no contract...but def going to pick me one up at some point..

I've been using an unlocked iphone for almost a year now and I still really like the phone. I'm hoping that the one they release in Canada will be the new 3G one and I'd also like voice dialing through the bluetooth headset.

Tapping free wifi is a great option that you can't get with BB [most windows phones do wifi as well but BB doesn't] you can also have free unlimited edge now... all of the rogers plans have unlimited email and are coming with 3 months of unlimited internet. Guess what I'm doing every 2.5 months? yup, changing my plan to get the 3mo promo. I'm sure it won't last forever but for now it's working great and only costs me $15/m
