Hey, I live in Nepean, I haven't been to this site in well over a year but I figured I'd get back on the forums now that I'm training for my next comp!

Probably Stratford, if not then Mississauga.

Sweet. Depending on if you think you'll go to provincials I'd do Stratford as it's easier to mentally handle the wait between the 2 shows since you can rebound a bit before bringing it back down for the provincial show. 7-8 weeks is easier than 3-4 but that's my opinion.

1-2 weeks is easiest

Thanks guys, I'm pretty set on a spring show though. I have a photoshoot for a friend's portfolio in May so I have to be ready for that anyway.
The prep is pretty good so far, I am getting hungrier now that the cardio is up to 30 minutes/day but it's bearable.
Anyone care to share their favourite cardio?

How far out do you all cut milk from coffee?
How about crystal light and gum?

I use cream not milk and I don't cut it. One xl coffee per day with 1 tbsp of cream or milk won't cause harm.

Don't cut crystal lite or gum either but I'll limit gum to 4 pieces max and crystal lite just enough to take the edge off drinking 8L of water/day

I've done various styles but even with keto I still had cream, crystal lite and the odd gum here and there.

This will be my fifth in total, but my first in 2 years. Do you compete?

I have in the past, but decided I'm not the "stage" type, never did very well. I was proud of myself but had a problem being judged. LOL.

I never cut CL or gum. I wouldn't make without crystal light and sweetner, lol.
I keep milk in my coffee for as long as I can. Some preps are different than others. If progress slows I cut out milk but last season I kept it in until the last couple of weeks as I was ready 2 weeks in advance.

aaah 7 weeks out and I'm starting to freak out...pretty much right on schedule.

I'm actually starting to get scared that I might be "too big" for figure...someone please reassure me!! I'm pretty muscular but super feminine and well proportioned...I have huge delts though. I know the judges love girls with nice full shoulders but i'm wondering if it can be "too big"? Based on my pic what do you think...borderline too big or just need to get leaner...?

Ange has large delts and she didn't suffer :)

Don't worry about that stuff Fn :) keep going! You will have the total package when you get up on that stage!!

I do have large delts and no I did not suffer at local shows but I do believe my delts, especially rear delts, overpower the rest of me and at a National level I did suffer a bit. Next prep I will almost eliminate shoulder training and train more for reps with deads and bench.

So, if your delts make you unproportional or take away from your shape then it may be an issue at a very competitive level or show. At local shows it should not be an issue if you are lean and good onstage. Maybe post your stats - hieght/weight - and a progress picture and we can help you out more.
I compete just under 130lbs and am 5'6" no one ever said I was too muscular. You can see all my progress pics in my last prep journal if interested.

if you are getting ready for a physique contest, I recomend precor EFX myself.
