Hey people was thinking about going with Virgin mobile, but how is the service, and does it live up there hype...

no system access fees
no activation fees
Don't want to see the same shit happen to me when i open up my first bill like Telus.

Haven't used them myself, Rogers here...

Do you do alot of e-mailing etc? Bell offers $7 unlimited data on the HTC touch phone. It's an unbeatable price. Browse porn, e-mail, everything for $7. I'm switching!

Look into Solo mobile. Their text & talk plans look very cheap. I'm with Rogers and switching soon.

Rogers is good to me. I pay $30 a month for unlimited early evenings and weekends, VM,CW,CD features. Unlimited text and unlimited incoming. 250 regular minutes. $6.95 access fee.

If you go to redflagdeals.com there's a whole section which I contribute to on how to scam the best packages out of Rogers.. :D

Their market share here in Canada would be less than 1%. Not a big player at all

My Dad uses Virgin and loves it. He's tried Bell, Telus and Rogers and finally got fed-up with their gouging and bullshit. He's happy with Virgin.

I use Virgin and would recommend it to anyone. I choose the evening and weekend plan...$40 gets you unlimited evening and weekends (starting at 7pm) and 200 anytime minutes.

I work nights and I usually sleep all day so the free nights is perfect for me...and no hidden fees ever. (I am starting to sound like a ****ing commercial)

Anyway good luck.

relatively new company using telus networks in urban centres.

http://www.koodomobile.com/en/on/index.shtml

no contract, no access fees or hidden fees, and it's PER SECOND billing.

tony, best bet is to shop around and find something that suits YOUR needs for a phone.

Love the Koodo commercials but I'm still confused at their "run a tab" payment system. I went to Best Buy and the guy there was also confused lol! :wtf

I fail to see how that is better than Bell's Uber 25 6pm. 350 anytime minutes, unlimited evening and weekends (starting at 6pm) for $40.95 "hidden" fees included. Sure virgin advertises no hidden fee's, but that's because they just build them into the price of their package and you end up paying more for less. The reason you get less is because Virgin needs to pay a tower rental fee to Bell since they don't have towers of their own. This creates a higher operational overhead and less value for the consumer.

That's a good spin on how Virgin does this to us.Just seen a telus pay as you go phone for 77.99,and comes with a 50.00 call time,so it would on be 27.00 for the phons plus the taxes, looks like i may go with it,but i will sleep on it.Thanks for all your help people.
