View Full Version : What do you pack to eat COLD?
With my line of work I am forced to bring many meals with me on the road for very long days, sometimes many days at a time. I prefer to heat up most foods and sit down to a warm meal as Im sure most of you do, but often this is just not possible.
What do you guys and gals pack and bring with you that tastes good, or at least decent when eaten cold? I need some solid ideas here so I can fine tune my diet while Im at work.

any type of chicken or or round beef you can do cold. What I tell guys in your position is to make sort of a taco salad type dish, you can eat those cold. Shredded lettuce, beans, salsa, some fat free sour cream, fat free grated cheese and meat added tastes great cold.

If i have to I can eat anything cold as long as it was cooked first and I have eaten pretty much all the bodybuilding type foods cold at one point or another.
Wraps - tuna ( eat out of can if you can :) ) , chicken , beef .

If your looking for cheap ideas:
Canned tuna/salmon sandwiches or wraps
ground beef in wraps with franks hot and some lettuce
lots of nuts for snacks- go to bulk barn
hard boiled eggs- alone or in sandwiches
cold pasta or potato salad- pre-cook potatoes/pasta, toss in some chopped veggies (onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery), add vinagrette
