For all of you from Edmonton, or that buy a "SUN"

Try to post a comment to an editorial.

You have to be a facebook member.

Facebook has had numerous privacy issues in the past investigated.

Facebook was just valued at over 40 billion. More I am sure that the Edmonton Sun is valued at. Do they now have ownership of my local media via proxy?

I am disgusted. Do they get paid for a referral?

Discuss.

I'm not Familiar with the Edmonton SUN, but do they have an online paper, or news section? Thats how it works around here for the local papers. My Only guess is that if they don't, they are saving money from having to buy server space from running all comments through a Facebook page.
As you stated not everyone has facebook, but I would wager a guess that the majority of people do.

Surely it's to keep people accountable for their comments.

Ok, fair enough. Accountable.

But if I'm too poor for a computer. I'm a non account.

What ever happened to taking a piece of paper, a pen, an envelope and a stamp.

And being accounted for.

Let's extropolate.

Take it ten years further.

To get a phone, to a mailbox, you have to be registered to facebook.

Now is that fair? lol, maybe extreme but you've all missed the point.

The media should be removed.....

Remember freedom of speech. Where did Facebook or any other website determine this.

Before I vote... I have to be registered to Facebook. NO WAY HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
