what the hell to smith machine bars weigh??
went to a new gym the other day, and CYBEX brand actully said...15lgs starting weight...
so how much are the hammer strength ones???
googling as we speak

my smith is counterweighted. still what does it *really* matter? my smith is stayin in my basement until the house is demolished in the next century or 3. 4 guys dragging HALF of the machine down the stairs, I don't see it ever making the reverse trip

ya...I guess it depends on the brand you have....I have Body Solid Smith Machine...not sure what the bar weights....maybe 15 lbs?

With the pulleys and stuff, whatever the bar weighs is not the real weight. I don't count the bar when I use the smith machine.

Is that a pic of you in the av? You look a bit scrawny, maybe you should try hitting the free weights instead of exclusively using the smith machine.
