What is everything using for a healthy cooking oil?
I usually use extra virgin olive oil

If i can find it (as sometimes the grocery store carries it, sometimes not), macadamia nut oil. It has a high smoke point and it tastes like buttah :D

Extra virgin olive oil is great as long as you dont go over he smoke point because then the oil degrades...as with most. Macadamian nut is great as well...nice flavour higher smoke point. Canola I would avoid due to its origin and modification...there is no such thing as a canola plant....the term canola is derived from "Canadian Oil"...the oil itself comes from a modified version of the rapeseed plant. Peanut oil is good but it tends to have a distinct taste not everyone enjoys.

butter, coconut oil, bacon grease, olive oil (basically only used to prevent sticking),
in that order.
although lately, with the exception of ground beef, and pork...
I eat a lot of my meat/eggs raw or undercooked.

My GF's parents bought us some super expensive pots and pans, so we dont ever need to use any oil for anything.. Good ol new non stick Surface!

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and Macadamia nut oil are by far the 2 best and should only be the 2 cooking oils. Extra Virgin Olive oil from what I've read is far to sensitive to heat and oxidizes at even low-medium heat. But some still are ok using it if used at a very low temp. The thing with Olive oil is that it's just to sensitive to heat AND light oxidation. It is healthy when used in home made salad dressings and used in low heat cooking. The problem is most people are not patient enough or don't make the time to cook things slowly on low heat, and just blast it with more heat to cook it faster. That's when it becomes a rancid oxidized oil that not only is not good for your anymore, its bad for you.

IF I use oil, I have extra virgin olive oil...but I don't use it often.

I used extra virgin olive oil for everything.. I only cook on the 2-3 setting on the frying pan though.

I'm far too impatient to cook with olive oil and not wreck it. I generally just use butter.

I used olive oil and use sesame seed oil for asian style dishis.
keep in mind when cooking with these extrem heat breakes them down (oxidizes) them and makes them NOT soo good for you. so i add just a bit , whats needed and cook with it then add in a bunch (for extra good fats in diet) when just about to take it out of pan or pot, so its fresher.

once in a blue moon maybe, for pancakes i do this. but man your asking for health issues if your too lazy and rushfull and just use butter to cook your food.

Never cook with olive oil.If i'm going to cook some eggs or what not i just use organic non stick cooking spray

I think canola is best because it has low fats as compared to other cooking oils. Because it is very sensitive matter and we should avoid eating heavy diets.

canola is all i use. its cheap and can get smoke less. great for searing steaks or fish before the BBQ
