I am 26 years old 250lbs 5'11 and am trying to loose about another 20-30 pounds. I am down from 290 as of last February. I have been dieting and exercising 5-6 days a week (a combination of weights and cardio) since February but it seems as though I am plateauing. Here is my Diet.

Meal 1 - 1 whole egg
1 cup of egg whites
1/3 cup of oatmeal
1 multivitamin

Meal 2 - 1 cup ground turkey or chicken
2 cups green beans or broccoli or asparagus
1 TBS Fish oil

Meal 3 - Post workout shake - 30g protein, 50g carbs (Glycocarb powder)

Meal 4 - 6oz Chicken Breast (or other lean cut of meat/fish)
2 cups green beans or broccoli or asparagus
1/3 cup of oatmeal

Meal 5 - 1 1/2 cups Egg whites
22 almonds

Meal 6 - If I am up this late - protein shake

Can anyone provide any suggestions on what I should be eating or not eating. Thanks.

Do a search for the Dave Palumbo 200lb diet for men and follow that. You should also be doing DAILY cardio (thats 7 days per week) and weight training 4 days minimum.

How long should I be doing this for?

Have you been on a calorie restricted diet since last February? IMO, that is way too long and maybe you should think about increasing your calories for a few months and then going to the Palumbo diet ( if that what you want ) or drop your cals back down to a lower level.

How often are you doing Cardio and weights ?

losing 20-30 for a competition or just to get lean

just getting lean, I'm just not too sure about the Palumbo diet. Having that little amount of carbs doesn't seem healthy to me.
