Lots happened since my last log.
Time to start cutting for the 2011 provincials

Current weight is 228lbs. I am leaner then I was last year at 228 so hope that is a good thing.

Just checked my older posts and seen the pics around the same timeframe and here is what i found.
2010 is 17 weeks out
2011 is 21 weeks out.

Man the added mass and looking much more full looking a great place to start should make the dieting a little easier I would think with less fat to get rid of. Good luck enjoyed the last log and will be following this one for sure.

don't worry about what weight class you'll be. worry about getting lean. If you make it to top end of middle and leaner than last year, that will imply you gained 6-7 pounds of muscle in a year. consider that a ridiculous achievment in a year!
And, if you are 190 and leaner than last year, than be proud of a 10 pound gain! I'd rather gain more and be bottom end of a class than not gain a thing!

Taking 20 weeks so should be able to get pretty shreaded!
I never seem to have a problem in that department so If I was luck enough to gain a few lbs of muscle it will hopefully help out alot.
I would feel more at ease if i could get the top end of Middle and carb up and get huge looking :P
or just get super shreaded for teh LH class :P
We will see how it goes :P

LOL HELLL NO I am prob older then you I am talking about the fact that you have tons of muscle mass already on your frame and it must be a hell of alot harder to put more on now then it was 50lbs ago .:yeah

Good luck with you prep! I saw you last year at the provincials and you did a great job. Slow and steady. Time to get shredded. More mass then last year and leaner. Off to a great start.
I am prepping as well right now but for May 7th so I am only 14Weeks + out now.

Hey Kor already sub 220 eh :) good man. You are just beggining your official 16 weeks and you are already in better condition than our usual 12 weeks out. Good idea on starting the diet early and cleaning up the junk before you get right into it. Expecting big things from you this year man i cant wait to see ya with few lbs more muscle and ur always tight conditioning. I wanna see striated outer sweep of quads this year bro! :) :D

Stick abs in there once in a while
haven't been doing alot of cardio so far but starting to do mim 30 mins on the stepper or TM.
Bumping that up to every day 7 days a week

Busy times.

I am currently at 212.6lbs
went up 2lbs. Not sure why my diet is clean, no cheats. I guess i hit my plateau with the diet and need to go to the next level so cardio is being added EVERY DAY!!! and diet is tweeaked.
I guess I can say i am lucky i got this far with a not so harsh diet! but all that is changing :P

Carbs have been cut out a bit lower now. I definitly feel it. less strength, lethargic... The good stuff :P

Looking good for 7 weeks out man. Your far ahead of schedule compared to last year that is for sure. The switch to keto for a week or so is really tightening up your midsection, low back. How the legs looking so far starting to get the cuts.

pizza is the worst for a reload...go with waffles, pancakes, muffins, cakes, stuff like that imo, works way better and you will feel better as well, stay away from the cheeses and such bro...lots of syrup on pancakes etc...Ice cream is good as well......

Speaking my language. Never will I eat pizza and that like for a cheat again. Granted I've never done it on a prep diet but even in my own non-prep diets I had done it but never again. Pancakes really are the best choice. Don't need a lot of them and just make sure you load up in the syrup. Doesn't leave you feeling as much like ass as other refeed foods do AND you don't have a huge ass distended stomach for 3 days afterwards lol
Add a blizzard after if you're craving something more "cheat" like

Pizza is not a good cheat meal because it is too high in fat and fills you up very quickly making it impossible to eat enough carbs which really should be the mainstay of a refeed meal. The main reason for a refeed meal is to increase T4 to T3 conversion (thyroid)...in order to do this you need carbohydrate. Fat is fine for a general influx of calories but it should be kept lower to allow for adequate carb intake.

Ended up taking your advice and went to Denny's and had 2 whole wheat pancakes, toast, hashbrowns, pancake balls and 2 strips of beacon (had no choice on this either beacon or sausage) then some Icecream :P
I could hardly finish it!! my stomach shrunk sooo much.
I felt weird afterwards like a high almost lol to much sugar from the syrup i gues, wasn't used to it :P
was 196.4 sat morning and 198 this am so not much of a diffrence in weight at least :)
Time to get back to the 0 carbs again :P wahooooooo :-/ lol

well couple days after the replenishment meal and all is well. I am at 197.6 today. I figured I would be over 200 again lol :P
vascularity is good. Legs are starting to rip up a but. Abs are comming in good, Back..... well can't see it lol :P Still have a bit of fat/water in my love handles but that should go away soon. Started tanning. Being an east coaster I don't tan well lol.
Back onto teh 0 carb diet and in hell already! Ugh

What Nate is talking about is a an injectable tanning product called Melanotan II and its available at canadian medical supplies the board sponser. Praetorian and others have said it works great for people who dont tan well and want to limit there exposure and not have to hit the tanning bed excessively. She told me the lighter your skin the better. You need a contrast between the skin color and hair color. The more diffrent it is the better. Will still work just not as well if you are tanned. If you are pale will take less sessions

if it is someone that supports you and helps it's great. if it is someone that does not it's hell.
I find it easy on my own cause i am in controle of when i eat out and when I don't.

I take vitamine C, E, B12 sometimes, Clen, milk tissle, and other "suppliments" lol
nothing major
guess my metabolism is going good now so i don't need alot of cardio yet.

Wow man thats awesome. I take the same with the addition of a few anti-oxidants, and health related vitamins. your progress is great so far bro. If you start to stall out and plateau look into throwing in some geranium 20, or L-carnitine + caffeine. Just a couple other natural options. Cant wait to see ur show brother me and DK will be buying our tickets soon.

My display on my scale is all messed up and hard to tell what teh #'s are but looked like 192 witch would be about right.

Throughout the prep it changed as it needed to. It started as a stable high protein-med carb low fat....changed to carb cycling....changed to Keto....next step is cutting the fats down a few days a week.

i went from keto (pro/fat) to 2 fat:1 Pro veggie and I hear ya man....its a night and day difference for energy...figure how many Kcals youre losing by eliminating fats though and its really significant

day 1 was hell on earth!! could hardly finish my workout.
So far day 2 is feeling better so far. will see what it's like in the evening at the gym.

I take it as good. The odds are you didn't lose 5 pounds of muscle. (although, you're likely not 5 pounds of fat leaner). You likely are holding a bit less water, and a bit less fat, and similar amount of muscle. Perhaps a little bit more muscle maturity, shape, etc...Time and time again, I tell people, its not about weight, its about what the muscle looks like. Earlier I believe I posted in this thread about a 5 or so pound gain of muscle in a year is a great accomplishment...And as you can see, putting on 5 pounds of muscle in a year is hard! That isn't to say you're not going to look way better even with only a few pounds gained...You might weigh the same, but look that much better.

Well off to Sudbury to requalify for the provincials.
apparently because I competed last year in teh provincials and did not place top 5 I have to requalify!!
shitty rule but what can you do??

hey all
was an interesting weekend to say the least :P 3 days notice for this show and a week early from my prep!!
Was a very close show. it could have gone either way. some people came upto me at the show and said I deserved the win.
I am happy with my placing and looking ahead to the Provincials.

Hey guys...just wanted to point out that because the main goal was to peak for the provincials i ordered Korilon to do nothing to attempt to peak for this show. He has been without Carbs for more than 3 weeks and without fat for about a week already. Come this weekend he should different on stage...dryer, fuller and more vascular. All he did for this show was show up and slap on some dream tan.

Well I have no contest that I have to do now for qualification so I can concentrate on growing and getting into the light heavy class.
Planing to take a year to 2 years of solid training. Planning to try and be lean for teh rest of the summer and winter time be a bit more leniant with the diet.
gonna do the same diet that i did when I started my prep for the summer. that should keep me relatively lean for teh summer.
can't wait to GROW!!!!!!!!

Oh ya!! i'm doing a photoshoot tomorrow then I'm taking a short break to let my body rest and recover tehn bulking for a straight year-year and a half to try and make Light heavy for my next show!
I really only had max 6 months to bulk usually cause of personal issues. this time it's gonna be straight training no matter what :P
