Thanks for inquiry......The price you see when order is done is complete with shipping etc....No broker fees, no border taxes, no customs fees.....The ups shipping is a bit high for some, but other than that, the price you see is the price you pay.....There are a couple of fellas that order from Quebec, North Ontario etc.....The at par dollar is sweet as well...:)

No boarder taxes? Last time I ordered from TP, I had to pay $35 (American) to get it released from the boarder. Is that something different?

Sorry to jump in on the thread ;)

Last year, I believe...? I'll log in to the site and pm you the info, if you'd like. I was told, basically, it was the boarder and there was nothing that could be done. UPS paid the boarder and I paid them.

Not with TP, but with other supps ive ordered itonly happens sometimes, the post office says its more of a "when they feel like it" fee, sometimes they charge duty and sometimes not. The only option is to refuse to pick it up

I was told it wasn't "duty" though...some kind of security fee. They don't stop every package but, the ones they do...have to pay the $35. I think they were worried that Bin Ladin had started working out. And yeah, I could have just NOT picked it up...but, when you've already put the 100 plus dollars on your visa...and you aint getting THAT back...ya pay the extra $35.

Hello Dante did a tonne of digging, and he hasnt gotten any complaints of folks paying any border fees etc.....I wonder if someone screwed up on the shipment side here in Canada.....They may have charged you for no reason......Dante cant find anything at all out on this matter.....Im not sure what happened Mouth, but if you ordered again, im positive you wont be charged anything by ups, nor trueprotein, and anyone else reading this....IF ANYONE TRIES TO CHARGE ANY EXTRAS AFTER YOUR PURCHASE< DONT PAY!!!!, Get in touch with trueprotein....BUT there is no extra charges after what you pay on the website folks.....

Yes it is, there are many, many packs that all get shipped out bulk in one shot across the line to a distribution facility in Canada...So they arent supposed to pick out 1 pack and charge, but The delivery system folks arent perfect, maybe they made an error, or scammed or who knows what they were up to, but basically im saying, do not pay anything out other than what you pay on the website........And report it to TP if anyone is trying to get you to pay any extras....;)

Hey IW, I was just about to place my first order with True Protein but it's charging me tax? My shipping address is properly set to Canada, I thought there is no customs duty's or taxes? Is this a mistake?

I'm wondering if it's a bug as my country code for Canada says CA when I check out, is it possibly thinking i'm in California and applying a tax?

I wrote TP and this is what i found out gsxr......

There is no customs/duty/tax from UPS at the border, but because of the law we have to charge GST tax, that's pretty much out of TPs hands. Just like all California customers having to pay tax.
If ever you are asked to pay anything above what you paid online at the time of your transaction, refuse absolutely...
Unfortunately we have to pay the gst upon the time of transactions.....

So, just to double check all additional fees are covered in the shipping charge? Just asking because normally when I have anything shipped via UPS from the states I have to pay more for brokerage fees than I originally payed in shipping.

Yes sir...There was one complaint of someone paying some extra charges i have heard of...Someone ripped someone off, or made a mistake....BUT you only pay what youre paying on the website.....DO NOT pay another nickel after transaction is completed on trueprotein website.....
So short answer, all fees are in price, no extra charges or broker fees or border fees.....
Enjoy...
Thank-you for ordering trueprotein....

My friends really like it...Im a simple fellow, i like chocolate cocnut...But if ordering 25 lbs, you may want to choose 5 or so flavours to not get tired of the same ol thing.....That would be my advice....The fruity stuff seems to be popular with some folks as well...

My first order from these guys ( $82 total - $21.63 of that was shipping costs), hoping for a good experiance. I too have had issues with UPS, iIprefer to use the USPS for USA shipping but that isn't an option in this case. IW, do you know the reason why some USA vendors do not provide a USPS shipping option?

Im not sure about the shipping and usps WM....Whatever you aid for your products online will be all you pay, it will show up at your door all nice and neat...I believe wpg is about 7-10 days....Let me know how it goes...
UPS is the guys that TP has a contract with......For delivery...
I can say that i have been waiting 2 weeks for a letter from Denver, a short distance away from usps, and their tracking system sucks, i have never waited that long for UPS large box from Trueprotein, and easily trackable.....I dont really know much about usps to be honest.....

Just made my first TrueProtein order! Fingers crossed it arrives without any 'extra' charges like the 1 poster above had issues with. Ordered 3 supps that I read about in one of your previous posts IW (tribulus, super libido, DAA). Ordered a 2 months supply of each. You have no issues running all 3 of these together?

Hey White t, glad it worked out well....Thats prob around 7 biz days, mine are typically in that range, or a bit earlier as well.....
DAA, i take 3-5 grams per day...Recommended is 3, but sometimes i feel like a nut...lol...jk...5 grams is what i would say.....The trib i take 2-3 caps two times per day....Libido 4 the same.....But if taking together, i just take a couple caps of libido4 along with 1 more of trib, @ 2x per day, 3x if i remember all the time....:D

Send me your order stats etc. I'll look into it for you. I must say you have bad luck. Never more than 10 days here. Not biz days. I get tires. Parts for my bike. Order stuff for buds and it all comes UPS. Never had an issue. Some folks get trouble at the border if they have a flagged addy or whatever reason. The only thing one can count on is trueprotein sends out the order very quick and efficient. After that we are living with a border around us. I'm glad to have it ; even if once in awhile it causes me frustration.

Yep anytime you order from the US you need to specify NOT to use UPS...brokerage fees will kill you...I always request USPS express..same price as UPS but no fees.

There is no extra fees with ups if you order from trueprotein.....What you pay online at checkout is the total, end of story.....
I just recvd a set of Chrome rims, and calipers and polished rotors for my Harley, about 65 lbs worth, and again, didnt pay a cent for broker fees...The shipper from orange county had it all in the checkout, was cheap and easy....
Buyer beware...Some companies dont pay the broker fees up front....
Exact same price was ups, or usps.......Fedex international was much more pricey, i got tires shipped here by fedex, cost a lot more, was quicker mind you, but more costly....
SO, if you are ordering anything from across the border, be sure to ask if all fees are paid prior to shipping...Some do, some do not...

TRUEPROTEIN does have all fees included at checkout....

IW....I understand what you are saying. The issue is if I order from Joe the Supplier and have the package sent through UPS and then USPS the likelihood is that I will NOT be charged any fees whether taxes or brokerage fees shipping with USPS. I will without question have fees with UPS shipments.

It seems TrueProtien has the same arrangement that Victoria's Secret has. My wife orders online and they collected all taxes and brokerage fees upfront. Nothing is due on delivery. What she does now is she has it sent to a friend in the USA and then they ship it to her via USPS. She has never been charged anything on delivery. This saves her a bundle. The funny part is the first time she did this the friend just stuck a new shipping label on the shipment that clearly had the VS logo all over it and was still not charged anything.

I as well regularly order from various suppliers in the USA and always make a point to tell them USPS or no deal. I can't remember the last time I paid fees and I get several shipments a year.

my orders with TP are generally 20-25lbs and cost $35-$40 for shipping with UPS...when I look on USPS, they charge a flat rate of $35.50 to send a package to Canada max 20lbs USPS-Produced Large Box: 12" x 12" x 5-1/2". Pretty much the same price except brokerage fees etc... are covered with UPS and my orders would not fit in the USPS sized box.

P is 100% correct ( coming from a logistics backround) , the reason USPS is so seemless and has less hasle is its now delivered by Canada Post once it crosses the boarder. It was previously delivered by Purolator (owned by CPC). Canada post is not sublect to the same clearance process as the other couriers , DHL,Federal, UPS etc . They need to comply with a seperate set of guidelines for couriers ( see below). Having said all of this , I have nothing against UPS (other than the brown suits) or other couriers , but cost effective and easy clearance , your not going to beat the post both Canada & USPS.

Courier shipments valued up to CAD 1600
will be Customs-cleared and delivered
on the day of their arrival in Canada!

The Low Value Shipment (LVS) Courier Program was
introduced by Canada Customs in 1993 to expedite
the movement of small shipments into Canada.

LVS is used primarily for Air and Surface Courier
shipments valued at maximum CAD 1600.00.
Courier Companies participating in the Low Value System,
among others, are DHL, FedEx, Purolator and UPS.

The advantage of LVS shipments is that they are
usually delivered on the day on which they arrive
in Canada. This is especially useful when you urgently
require repair and replacement parts for equipment

Or just specify USPS and you are good to go...it seems with UPS even when some companies collect fees etc up front and and the price is then all in...it can still end up costing you depending on what happens at customs(this is a customs issue not the retailer)...ive dealt with this on many occaisions when things were supposed to be all in...and they still end up charging brokerage fees....go USPS and there is no issue.

Hey there, just received my shipment from TrueProtein.com and I wanted to share it, since people seem to have some doubts about tp shipping over the border.

I placed the order on the 14th of August, got an email saying the order had shipped on the 15th.

On the UPS side, they processed the order on the 17th (in the states, so I guess my order wasn't in stock in a Canadian warehouse. It was Yohimbine). On the 22nd, it checked into Canada at Richmond, BC. I live in Ontario, so by the time it got to my house it was the 26th.

All in all, I got my order 12 days after I placed it at TrueProtein.com. The order was for 2 bottles of Yohimbine HCl, 100 caps. No border fees or anything. My only comment is that UPS left the package in front of my front door, but that problem lies on the UPS side. I think you can ask TrueProtein so that they request a delivery with signature. Cost was 16$, and shipping pretty much of equal cost.

So as mentioned, I haven't experienced any real problem. But take note that it was for a small order. In fact, on the website they have a notice for the powdered Yohimbine concerning the quantity of the product and issues at the border.

Thanks chris.....Good feedback....12 days, must take longer to ont i guess....
On another note, i bragged to soon about never getting bit by the ups extra fees....

I just got some more parts for my bike....I asked if there was extra charges...The guys in orange county said definitely not....I said ok, was comfortable with that...Then it got to my door yesterday.......damn if they didnt charge me 69 bucks...for gst and border fees or some shit....first time ever...Unreal...I fought it and lost, they were just going to return to sender....lol...
i phoned supplier, and the guy on the phone said the lady was wrong i spoke to prior, they dont pay the extra fees up front like TP does......Dammit...
So yeah, i now see how it could happen.....i was miffed, but thats life, now i will ask the management before placing an order, as the lady was clueless, and i should have known better....But live and learn.....
It wasnt a ups thing either, it was legit, and i was to pay for the fees, i was misinformed....
