Syncrude, CNRL, Suncor are some of the bigger companies. I'd REALLY recommend looking for and setting up work BEFORE you go. Lots of people go there for "general" labour.
Unless you know someone that's already up there (and you can crash at their place), why not wait until you have some of the mechanical school behind you? It's WAY easier to find work even if you're just one step above "general labour."

Thanks for the names of some of the bigger companies.Oh yes i wont be going up unless i have something lined up 100%,that is why i posted this ad to do that(i have heard the stories of people going up expecting to find riches and sleeping in their cars and coming back with nothing).I plan on returning their once i finish school but i wanted to go up their and see if i like it their and make some cash to purchase tools as they are very exspensive.Sorry, i did forget to mention i am looking for camp work so i wont have to worry about renting a place.

ya you can look at the big companies, but look at the contractors, union or non union ones, finning, flint, flour, scafolders union, shit even kitchen staff or camp staff, and the pipe fitter, millwright hall, even the bricklayer union when they do shut downs for refac, look at drill rigs nabours is hiring,, service rigs, well testing ( weatherford etc..)
