the canadian version of netflix is garbage...even at $7 per month not much on there to watch unless you want to see 20 year old movies...if you want to get netflix use a program to change your ip address and get the american version.....far better

I am using the trial right now on my PS3, and I like it. The movies are not new, however, there's a lot of choice there. The quality is great - I'm wireless to my PS3 and it's 720p with DTS audio. No hitching or skipping, no pixelation. I like documentaries and some of the older stuff, so for the price it's a good deal for me.

If you're looking for what's currently in the box office or most current rentals you will be disappointed. If you're looking for stuff you may have passed over in you really liked in the past, you're set.

I would assume more and more titles will be added. I signed up last night and I like it. Lots of kiddie shows as well(bonus).

I can see them though getting their subscription base up and then raising the price...

I'm not a big fan of Holywoods latest releases, for the most part they are shit acting compensated with special effects. Netflix has a pretty good foreign and independent selection (though I'd like to see more independent selections)

We've just got the free trial at the moment but when you buy the yearly membership i think it works out to something like $5 or so a month. Most movies I've noticed are on average from 1998 to 2009.

i am also using the free trial and I like it. To the OP that said the movies are 20 years old, there is a lot more content to browse through once you sign up. There are movie releases and shows from 2010.

^^ I agree, the foreign flicks are great. I also like a lot of the documentaries. I just finished watching "Super High Me" and "The Union", both great documentaries on marijuana.

The best thing is that there are no contracts, you can cancel anytime.

It's all to do with broadcast rights. More content will slowly be released as they get the rights to do so. U can always get a U.S. ip address and then u would need an U.S. credit card with matching mailing address if u want the U.S. content.

once you have the ip then all you do is call your credit card company and add a US address onto it...just tell them that you buy a lot of stuff online and you get it ship to that address in the US...you can pick any address in the US it doesn"t matter and then just use your own CC with netflix...works great...

This will be the deciding factor if I keep it or not. Tonight was watching a movie in high def and it stopped for a sec and said something along the lines of the bandwith change and when it came back on it was in standard definition...

Hey faller, what you do is download the movie to computer, then playback right through comp, hooked up to the tv as a monitor, works awesome, lots of hi def movies......Look for the green circle beside the movie to show its good quality, if red, then its not so good.......
No porn on the free trial....lolol....
takes minutes to dload a movie and playback, then we save to external hard drive to compile a good library....Yours forever....Great tv shows as well.....
