thought i would post some feedback here for both users who have thought about using beef isolate and for the true protein guys as well.

for various reasons i decided to stop using whey.

i tried a couple of beef protein products (carnivore, and another) that were absolutely putrid to the point that i couldnt tolerate taking them. they tasted awful and mixed so poorly I'm shocked that these companies even sell them, its a disgrace.

so as a last ditch effort i ordered some true protein beef isolate in premium chocolate (the other beef proteins ive seen only come in brutal "fruit punch" type flavours which i hate).

to my surprise this product mixed very well (not as great as a pure whey isolate but pretty well) and the taste was actually pretty good (definitely different then whey but that was to be expected)

then the weird part. After 3-4 weeks, all of a sudden, it started going right through me. when i say that i mean i was having liquidpoopexplosion non stop. This continued for about 5 days until I stopped the beef iso and all was fine over night. I tried introducing it again a few days later and BAM liquidpoopexplosions resumed.

So i figured it didnt sit well with me and gave it to a friend. He had no problems whatsover and commented how he was surprised how decent it tasted and well it mixed

Then.... 3 weeks later, buddy is having liquipoopexplosions non stop until cessation. He gave it to a 3rd buddy and 2 weeks after using it same story.

So basically there is something going on here that is causing an eventual rejection by the body. Im not sure if it is how it is processed, an additive or whatever but it seems pretty consistent and pretty odd.

I imagine if one were to rotate their proteins (which i know a lot of ppl recommend) or only used it sparsely to mix things up it most likely would not become problematic. All 3 of us built up in intolerance to this stuff in about the same time frame (we were all using it as our primary/only protein supplement) and all 3 of us eat red meat regularly as well with no issues

Can someone from trueprotein perhaps chime in and shed some light/thoughts on whats going on here?

thanks

ps- got a lb or so left if anyone wants it!!! lol

Thx for the feedback, best bet would be to go their forums and post your experince there more of a chance to get feedback from someone in the company and other users experience.
