While sadly I'm weak like a little girl after about 5 months off the juice my waist is the smallest it has been in quite a long time.

Skin fold body fat isn't particularily low (~15%) yet my gut has shrunk pretty dramatically.

Does anyone have any links to the accumulation of visceral fat and aas?

Well, i dont have any links on the fat thing, i know we retain a lot of water while on, and that affects my waist circumference quite a bit....I would be concerned about losing all your strength while off though...That doesnt happen to much to me...A slight amnt of strength, yes, not much though....Are you still trng while off effectively? I find when i am on, the fat melts off more actually, not build up, id say it is more water retention, are your wrists smaller, face smaller etc??

I just did 3 months of 60+ hour a week heavy construction labouring and no weight lifting so "no my trng was not terribly effective". Stamina/GPP is through the roof but max strength is way down.

Definitely not water retention. Muscle is mostly still in place but detrained/uncoordinated.

Bodyfat % has been lower but waist was larger during my last cut.

Couldn't decreased visceral fat just be caused by increased caloric expenditure, increased cardiovascular activity and just overall better health? I imagine from all that work you won't be as gym strong but I would think your cardiovascular health would have improved. Like a sumo wrestler!

No, i meant water retention while on cycle makes my waist larger.....When off my waist shrinks, along with my face/wrists etc....
Dude 60 hours/week you can still do good workouts.....That has been my life since my inception to bodybuilding.....Myself and several guys on my crew were in there at 8 pm 5 nights/week, take wknds off...
If you spend less time washing your carharts, makes more time for the gym....lol (from your old thread)
Good to hear your stamina is up....If you need extra work on the job, start carrying 2 oxygen bottles up sets of stairs on your shoulders,, the 4 foot tall and 10 inch diameter ones...great for whole body, I found that when i was on tools before becoming the GF i was stronger than i am now or as strong anyway....Get creative, make everything a workout... The job site is your gym!!! Tradesmen are some of the strongest dudes in the workforce...

Hope you get back at it, i miss your logs on here.....Keeps us motivated....:hu

At 44 a job as a heavy construction labourer 6 days a week 10+ hours per day was as much as I was physically able to handle. Actually a bit more as I've got sciatica, inflamed elbow tendons, can't open my right hand and have numbness in my right foot and thigh.

Happily I got fired when the superintendant's deaf brother rammed my genie with the zoom boom so I have time again.

The sciatica is from a tight piriformis rather than a disk herniation thank goodness but I'm not as young as I once was.

Holy crap I looked this up and this exactly where my back pain has been located. What kind of treatment do you find effective to releive pain?

To be clear I don't have back pain, I have sciatica. pressure on the sciatic nerve. This can be cause both by disc herniation and/or a tight ass muscle (the pririformis) under your ass cheek. The solution for me is a couple of week of piriformis stretches combined with hamstring, lower back and quad stretching. I essentially work to improve mobility in the whole area so that things loosen up and the pressure on the nerve is relieved.

IF you have disc herniation this is going to do nothing for you and as far as I know for most people the only thing the allows the herniation/bulge between the discs to heal is reducing the inflammation and time. I have never had a herniated disc though so I will not pretend to be an expert. If your sciatica comes from a bad disc get thee to a specialist and don't **** about with advice on the internet.

Will you try and book a CT ? This way you can rule out ( thinking positive )a herniation or disc issues.
