i don't know about that...he seems to really look after him and is not whipping him or beating him to learn tricks..he's also had him since he was a cub so there is a long bond with him...had him for a better part of 7 yrs. I imagine he's just like a dog (man's best friend) to the both of them.
I think it's pretty cool.

Even with dogs, they can snap from time to time of they are provoked. You never know...

I think thats amazing! Guy treats him real good like hes part of the family. Sure hes dangerous and could snap but its still interesting that he has a bear for a pet and the thing looks really happy. Thats so cool.

Tim Treadwell used to hang out with bears too. There was a documentary about it, called Grizzly Man. It was fun to watch. Too bad he got eaten, along with his girlfriend.

Yup, buggering with wild animals is generally a bad idea. Being eaten likely sucks.

I think its cool to, but people need to smarten up and realize there no bond between humans and wild animals. Keeping pets like this is irresponsible, and these people should be held accountable when something happens. Look what happened to Roy Horn, or that retarded bitch that thought is was ok to keep a 150lbs chimp as a pet, until it mauled her best friend.
Even dogs snap at their owners, but in this case it will be a 1000lbs grizzly. It's just a matter of time.
As much as I would like a polar bear for a pet, I'm just gonna use common sense and let that dream go. :)

Apparently there is full audio of the bear killing him.I heard a portion of it,the first part when the bear is getting nippy. He injured him and then came back to finish him.

Well I don't agree with keeping wild animals as pets...it would be awesome to have a pet grizzly bear. I liked the part where he talked about the bears emotions. More scientists are starting to believe that not only humans and primates are capable of complex emotions but also possibly all mammals and maybe birds too.

Scary stuff. A grizzly?
Grizzly bears are the second most powerful bear on earth after polar bears. They are APEX predators. Guy has guts.
I've heard of people get killed by keeping coons as pets. Imagine if the grizzly gets pissed ever...........
