Hey guys ,
Lifting weight is something that have to be extra carefull!
you need information about it you probably do something
wrong and only a professional coach can help you.
I'm new in lifting weight but i have my coach.

look up ulnar and radial: deviation, abduction, adduction, supination thor handle, pronation thor handle. Lots of illustrations on the web. Do 3 sets of 12-15 reps each movement 3 times a week for the next 3 weeks.

Also start working your extenal rotator cuff rotations and avoid anterior(chest, front delt) movements. Do the same rep and routine protocol as the above exercises.

I suggest doing some high rep leg and some upper body movments for those 3 weeks also and aim to complete this regime every 3 months and take a closer look at future work out protocols based on muscular balance flexibility and strength.

Lots of powerlifters use blueheat found at your local vets or online which does wonders for your joints, its for animals even meatheads, lol

Both hubby and I know severe elbow pain. He felt his the first time a few years ago. He had a puffy ball growing on it and we thought it was bursitis. It turned out to be a partial tricep tear and he ended up tearing it totally while benching 130 lb dumbells and had to have it operated on to repair it. He tore all 3 of the triceps were told.

I had severe pain in my elbow last year. Nerve testing said it was the Ulnar nerve being pinched. I then had many many treatments with cortisone and then found out I had Osteoarthritis in it. The Osteo swelling was causing the nerve problems. I started taking meds for it and with in a week I was back to lifting after not being for 9 months. A bone scan found the Osteo, the CT scan did not nor did common x rays.

Go to a DR if it's ongoing and that bad.

go to my coach in my blog -> http://mygymstory.blogspot.com/2008/04/my-story-from-fat-to-phat-in-58-days.html

If all you are here to do is pimp some trainer, you are not contributing much. I disagree that "only a professional coach can help you." This guy should be banned.

Many of the posts refer to different issues, some related to repeated movement, some from overuse and potential improper warm up. If you really have a problem which is not clearing up you should sek medical advice from a) a doctor who knows bodybuilding or b) someone who specializes in musculature, like an RMT. In addition I would buy a good book on anatomy and physiology so you can educate yourself about attachments, insertions and function. You will find most "tennis elbow" is cause from leisions within the brachailradialis and can be treated with cross-friction or trigger point therapy.

BTW I agree with BigBen about the shameless promotion of some dude who calls himself a "coach". Is there not enough friggin guys and gals out there in the health clubs with matchbook mail in fitness certificates passing themselves off as certified trainers and training unsuspecting newbies with routines they read outta their subscription to oxygen or mens health!!??

Ya i only know this as my RMT massage guy said you can't treat this with a massage and only ice,as it Bursitis.

Here is what a Medical dictionary has in it under Bursitis

Bur*sitis (bur-si-tis) n inflammatio of the bursa.olecranon bursitis inflammation of the bursa over the point of the elbow.prepatellar bursitis(syn housemaid's knee) a fluid-filled swelling of the bursa in front of the knee cap(patella). It is frequently assosiated with exessive kneeling.A blow can result in bleeding into the bursa and there can be infection with pyogenic pathogens.

So if you want you could go get a massage and they will tell you if it that or a injury to your tricep tendon.

My left elbow got messed up because of skull crushers. It's been screwed up since Nov 2007, I try taking supplements for joint support ... works a bit. Right now I am trying out some cream and I was told that it would help.
