IMO it's bad, they have information that the public or other governments shouldn't be privy to, in the end it's only going to end up hurting someone/country

IMHO.... Sooner or later something negative will come out of it, but so far everything has been more of an embarrassment to the US than anything else.

I think the whole thing with the diplomatic cables is more funny than anything else, and I think almost all of the leaks regarding the Afghan mission and Iraq have shed some reality on all of the spin our Governments try to shove down our gullible throats.
Its pretty ****in bad when a Government openly says it doesn't keep numbers on Civilian deaths, and then it comes to light that in fact it knows the number is in the hundreds of thousands and it does keep track.
Its all 1984........ if you can control the information, you control peoples thoughts...... So far I think assange has done the world a favor.
I'm thinking his days are probably numbered at this point though........

This guy should receive a nobel prize for doing what he did..
First of all if the goverment had some little secret that they didn't want nobody to know,
then they just needed to be more careful as to how they hide there little secret, your telling me that because Wikileaks put up there secret out in the open we should kill the guy??
Its exactly people like you who give them(goverment) the power to control us and do what ever they want with us and our money.

Put it this way, goverment is like a big company just like Ford,Honda... and the so called President of those company doesn't owned the company, the share older does
he was put there by the share older. So all the share older should know everything that is happening in there company.

This apply to our goverment too, never forget that we(the people) vote for a president to represent us and take care of our country, they should not be hiding anything from us(the people)
just like the president of big company should not hide nothing from the share holder.

I would agree his days are likely numbered.I was listening to to a show today,Assange's lawyer has been trying to contact the Swedish prosecutor who apparently has a case concerning sexual assault against him....he has been able to get zero info...

And what exactly has been leaked that was deserving of being assasinated?I don't remember too many Reps being upset when Valerie Plamme was outed,creating a sudden and very real danger.Do you?

Getting into a bad area here regarding the rules, but thats a great point regarding Plame.
She was outed for purely political reasons, intimidation included in there, and after Libby was convicted ( protecting Cheney ) he was pardoned by the big guy.
Seems ironic that O'Reily calls for Assange's head when in fact worse things have happened, things that were committed by the top of the US Government.

I saw about Assange's sex charges, and I'm thinking that one way or another he's going to wind up in jail or dead, just a matter of time. Apparently in one of the leaked cables there was info regarding what European Countrys think about the Afghan war, and the only reason they are involved is to appease the states ( Big surprise lol ) so I'm sure they can find some reason to put him in jail. If not, he'll die under suspicious circumstances... maybe like that Russian spy who who had been poisoned? interesting stuff for sure.....
Hopefully someone else will be able to carry the torch when he's gone.
