I saw this coming when they started putting RFID chips in things, I wonder how long before they start making wallets that block the radio frequencies? Luckily most criminals aren't that clever and are just creatures of opportunity so hopefully this doesn't start becoming a problem.... although like they said how would one know if their credit card info was stolen through RFID chip or other means?

There has been some talk about using similar technology in cell phones so that you could just swipe your phone at the cash to pay for stuff and a few android phones already have the technology built in although I don't know that its set up for use yet. I was just reading an article talking about samsung developing the needed chip and speculating that they may begin putting it in all of their smart phones.

You can buy little bags made from material that will block radio waves.Cops use them to place cell phones into to stop a remote dump of contact info.Not that expensive.

Thanks for sharing. I never did like the Paypass concept. Score one for 'Verified by VISA' I guess- the PIN number used by visa prevents the card being charged- they can't use an RFID reader to access the PIN number.
