Ok I am pretty sure I have some gyno going on. Just wondering if anyone here who has competed in a show before had any sort of gyno at the start and noticed it shrunk or almost went away while you dieted down. The reason I am asking is because I notice a lot of females who compete get flat chested sometimes.

If you have gyno it will still be noticeable when you diet down...you need to have it surgically removed.

Chest fat will disappear but gyno won't. Chest fat can sometimes look gyno'ish to the untrained eye.

Man is that ever true for me, especially when i approach my offseason weight peak...man boobs are not cool, thankfully they completely disappear when i'm even half lean. ;)

Same for me ! I thought I had bad gyno until I dieted of 48lbs.

As soon as I bulk, it's coming back (less worse then when I was 240+)

Everyone is right when they say high BF can look a lot like gyno. Also if surgery is out of the price range do a search on a topical letro cream that ppl use to shrink existing gyno. If im not mistaken it was said on this board and actually worked to reduce the size.

you can try Formadrol (Forma-D) and run it with cutting and right threw to comp for some help if off aas. chest fat will dissapate but hard done GYNO you prob need sergically removed.

if your gonna use aas keep ai on use and estrogen low end and no prog based steroids like deca or tren.

Diuretics like aldactone are also known to cause gyno.

I got a little bit when I dieted for my first show, but was lucky enough that it went away. I get the same breast fat taht looks like gyno but I have no lumps and as I get leaner it goes away.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but is there ever a point where surgery could be covered by OHIP? Or is it completely covered by the patient?

It's only covered by OHIP if your Doctor can indicate that it may lead to a medical problem. Gyno surgery for cosmetic reasons only isn't covered. I went through this a few years back with my buddy. It wasn't a pleasant process for him but the end result was excellent. Some plastic surgeons can do this surgery in their own medical facility which makes it somewhat cheaper as they use a local anesthetic. My advice would be to pay the extra and get put under. Well worth the extra $

I've got pubescent gyno I think...puffy nips since I can remember. After this cut i'm going to see if it tightens up at all in the area, but if not i'm hoping I can get the surgery covered, not sure if the military will do it or not

I'm in the same boat...just one of those "lucky" guys, I suppose.

Not that I'm going to compete but, I still hate it haha. The hope is to lose as much as I can through diet and if there's still enough that it bothers me, I'll look at the surgery. Now, how to get it covered by OHIP?!! What are the health issues that could be caused by gyno?

I dont know first hand, but maybe psychological issues from it, or they could suspect cancerous growths perhaps...just some guesses

The formation of breast tissue can lead to a cancerous growth/tumor ie breast cancer. To have this covered, your Doc would have to show that the tissue is growing and/or that a biopsy shows the formation of cancer cells. An interesting point to note is that high concentrations of cannabis can also lead to this condition as it causes an increase in estrogen. So much for the weed!

Alright...I'll tell my doc that I think I'm getting cancer. Maybe she'll sign a note or something ;)
