I am 25 year old male that is about 5'8 and am 160 pounds. I have scoliosis (a lateral (sideways) curve of the spine usually consisting of two curves - the abnormal one and another to compensate for it) I also do not have lot of money so I really can not pay for a gym. What I would like 2 know is what are some workouts I can do at home besides my running I do.

Welcome... what dis your chiropractor or physiotherapists suggest? Assuming you been to them in the past. Is there exercises that they suggest you do not do?

Well I can do any just not lift 2-2 heavy and be safe. Know when it 2 much. Also I guess stuff that would work for me as the way I am built/my back is.

Since your just starting out and have a medical condition why dont you try to work on just using your bodyweight first.
For example do push ups in the morning. 50 wide hands, 50 narrow. Maybe some ab crunches or some ab work like leg lifts. Also you could do calf raises on a set of stairs doing each calf alternating every step. What else.. hmm you just got to be creative i used to workout in my basement before i hit the gym and i just did a lot of variations of push ups, pull ups, dips on the washer and dryer. lol.

Do what bigtav said, before working with weights, I used to do pushups and situps everyday. This was when i was about 10-11 though, but they can still benefit someone just starting out.
When you're ready, figure out a way to cut costs in order to afford a gym membership. Most people can find a way to save 1$ per day which is really all a gym membership costs. whether its finding cheaper foods, not going out, drinking etc...just think, 1 day out for dinner in a month is more than a monthly gym membership.
Also, if money is really tight, the YMCAs will offer a reduced rate, as long as you aren't taking advantage. Once your committed, money will never be more important than health.

Agreed with Tav and Steve as well. I used to do lots of bodyweight workouts back when i was a kid. You could get a band at Walmart and get creative with it as well but it only works if you understand body mechanics. :greet
I guess the only thing you could do at home would be bodyweight exercises, like push ups, pull ups,chins,step-ups, lunges, split squats.....i'd also focus on form and proper posture too

I was trying to find my old log book from way back then but i guess it must've gotten tossed in all the moves but i remember writing everything down. I started off with less than 10 pushups per set eventually worked my up to 123 straight reps. then my pops built a gym for me after that in our basement.
Point is...you gotta start somewhere, just start.

Congrats on wanting to improve your fitness and strength!
A couple options for you with links included for more info:
Crossfit (http://www.crossfit.com): Tons of great workouts you can look through. Many of them don't require any fitness equipment at all or very minimal. You can also workout at your own pace or change some exercises to accommodate your own fitness level and capabilities.
Gymnastic Ring Exercises (http://www.forgetgyms.com/category/health/exercises-fitness/gymnastic-rings-exercises/): This is such a versatile piece of fitness equipment to use, especially for someone like yourself. It is my favourite piece of equipment. You can buy a high quality set of rings online for $70 - $100 OR you can make your own using materials from Home Depot or Lowes. I made my first set for $20.. A few good videos to check out of some exercises you can do with rings if you click the link.

Do a google search for all the different exercises you can do with rings. There are MANY beginner exercises you can do so don't be intimidated! These are great for everyone! They will help you build tons of strength, raw power, muscle control and stability.
Here's a youtube link of someone showing good use of rings (This guy is pretty advanced): Hardcore Ring Routine (http://www.youtube.com/user/SidneyWilson4#p/u/4/mSaKIq-bS2A)
Just a couple more idea's for you. Keep up the hard work, best of luck!
One last thing... Why is this thread in the Members Pictures Forum!?

I think some where in my house there is a big exercise ball and 2 ball shaped weights that are 10-15 pounds I think. Would they be good 2 use????

Those would be great to use, especially because you already have them.
Do a search online for different ball exercises (there are many). It sounds like you have 2 Kettle bells at home which are very popular. Again, you can do a search to find an unlimited amount of exercises.
The key is getting started, staying motivated and sticking with it over the long term.

dumbells and a flat bench or ven a benchpress bench. you can do alot of workouts with deumbelsa and a bench. off wall triceps curls, biceps, chest, lats, delts, back ect.
also look at DC trainning (google it) its a good read, i do somthing liek it but go for 7-8 repsa and workout for about 30-45min not the 20-25min it mentions.. good stuff thow.
also lipotropic protine from LG and soem creatine and a multiv/m is a good idea.
