Have any of you members get over inflatted bills from Rogers AT&T

It seems every few ****in months I get these huge bills from them and it's always their fault..I have to ask, yell. get pissed off, and in the end I always end up right..I dont understand how a company as big as they are are always ****ing up..

one time they send me a bill for over a 1000 bucks for a month
they billed me for every call I made and recived, they didnt even take into account my phone package..

Billed me for every text even tho I had a text package

billed me for extra calls even tho I had bounus mins on my package that didnt get used.

how in the **** can this happen all the time..

cocksuckers! I recently switched to Primus mainly to get Aeroplan points. Also got 2 $100 Futureshop gift cards (me and the wife).

BUT MAN!!!!! Did I ever have to work for all those extra goodies. Endless calling to cust. service and I have to call them again to get call-display that I had asked for..... They sound intelligent on the phone but how they've managed to screw things up over and over is beyond me....

Check if you can sue them. If you've had a plan for a long time now, how many mistakes could they have made that you haven't caught?

Sue Rogers? I'd like to see you come out ahead just paying for court fees and parking at the court building. That's not even counting your personal time wasted.

Come on CRTC, let the big US cell phone companies compete here in Canada. I would love to have unlimited high-speed 3G for $60/month. WOOT! LOL

rogers is a joke, i cut my phone off a couple years ago and they kept billing me and i finally got it straightened out and had to pay some. i received a letter saying my account was all straightened out after i ended up paying 10% of the bill and a couple months later i get another bill..

This is the fault of the CRTC.

Doesn't the owner of Rogers sit on the board of the CRTC? Isn't that conflict of interest. Cell phone plans in Canada are close to the worst in the world.

Pinhead is right. CRTC is to blame. and it is a conflict of interest if he is on the board as well...

So much for a competitive market.

I was perfectly fine with my fido service until rogers took them over, every bill was pretty much an over bill and it got to the point where I was spending close to an hour a month arguing over the phone.

I ended up switching to bell a year ago but am regreting it now that the 3g iphone is out. The worst part about it is i had close to 800$ in fido rewards which they just decided to throw away after I switched carriers even though the CSR assured me I would still have access to them If I decided to come back.

I am going to wait until telus/bell complete their GSM network, hopefully then can we see some decent data plans. Rogers GSM monopoly is such BS, its a shame that there aren't better cdma phones out there but my touch still does the trick. Unlimited mobile browsing for 7$/month which translates into unlimited data with some small firmware changes :)

Just scam the scammers back. There's no way Rogers has made a profit off me over the last 4 years with all the free phones and service I scam out of them.

Do some research on the competition, call and cancel, work on your social engineering skills, you'll come out ahead every time.. :) I love Rogers

Them dumbasses tried to tell me I had to continue paying for my service even though the area I am moving to is not covered in the Rogers wireless area. I just kept getting bumped up to the next tier of service until I found someone who understood what an express contract is. So when I move they will sever my service and only bill me for what I have used. Odds are though, I'll be phoning them on a landline and spending a few hours sorting it out with them.

they have been that way for ever. my first cel in 1992 was from rogers/ first month free etc, typical package. they ignored the perks and billed me full pop everything. i had to complain and fight for it. they are a scammer!

Take it from somebody with an inside scoop, you'll be waiting a long time for bell to move to GSM. CDMA is a much more advanced technology, so why spend millions upon millions to downgrade their networks? That and Bell/Telus have recently announced they are commencing work on a 4g cdma network and it will be completed by 2010. This will allow data speeds of up to 100mbit wirelessly.

If you're set on the iphone, check out the samsung instinct. As close as you can get to it on cdma

heres some good news to brighten all you ranters: :yeah

in the second quarter of 2009, a new gsm cell phone company will enter the canadian market and promises customer satisfaction and stop price gouging.

Globalive will enter the market and go head to head with the big 3 incubent cash cows: Rogers aka "Robbers," Telus, and Bell. Canada has the highest wireless and data rates in the world and Globalive/Yak wants to give Canadians a break.

This new company will eliminate the dreaded system access fee, voicemail fee, call display fee, and possibly long distance. Now the big 3 are fighting back, eliminating the system access fee for solo (operated by Bell), fido (operated by Rogers), and the creation of Koodo (operated by Telus). Solo, Fido, and Koodo are the Big 3's no frills brands. It won't be long until the premium brands; Rogers, Telus, and Bell are forced to eliminate their system access fees as a new wave of competition moves in. Just for everyone to know, the system access fee is a non-existant fee that they made up to generate more revenue and mask its real purpose. There is no such thing as a system access fee and the big 3 have got into a lot of trouble in the past by saying it is a government fee mandated by the CRTC. Rogers and Telus charges $6.95 per phone line. Bell charges a whopping $8.95.

The second wireless company to enter the market next year is BMV Holdings. It will launch a no frills wireless service offering unlimited talk and text plans.

My advice to everyone is: SCREW ROGERS, TELUS, BELL. Don't upgrade your contracts or sign one. Just wait a couple of months and you will be surprised how much the prices have gone down.

its before the winter olympics correct? that was the rumor going around since there would be so many tourists in canada during that event and rogers is the only carrier that can offer roaming.

I have been with Bell since 97 now.,...and I am a happy client.

Tried Rogers on and off, but only with pay as you go and never tried their contract packages.---I have seen and heard of too man inconsistencies and this thread reiterates.

Ya as a truck driver I hated Rogers . I never had service in Most areas in BC . Bell had to be the best for service areas in BC becouse they use both Rogers and Telus towers

I hate bell with a passion. They've ****ed with me too many times. I'm with president's choice (which uses bell's network). Koodo and Virgin look promising too

Ha, last summer when I was upgrading my phone, the lady put me on hold for too long so I decided to put her on hold in return. Long story short, she hung up on me, I made a scene about poor customer service, I got a free Blackberry Curve without even having to sign a new contract.

Supposedly one of the new company's coming out will have an unlimited city phone incoming and outgoing for $40. No contract, no crtc fee thing either.

You said it. I worked for a sub-contractor for Rogers. I cancelled my cable and cell phones and went with Bell.
