Well I competed at the Emerald Cup this past weekend and I have to say it was the best run show I have ever been part of !! talk about taking a step to the next level !! the competition in my class was amazing I ended up in 7th place in the Heavyweights, not as high as I had hoped but the best I have looked yet , just makes me want to work that much harder and get back there next year with alot more size
here are a few pics from the weekend, I will post more as I get them

Yer lookin' real good & solid bro, you must of had some good competition down there in Washington for a 7th. Better to hear how positive and motivated you are about your finish, all the best to you.

Congrats Rick. Did you get any feedback from the judges? I found that has helped me a lot with what I need to focus on.

I never got a chance to talk to them after the show.... I know that I need to bring up my hamstrings quite a bit, overall hardness in my legs isn't good enough... going to focus on my weaknesses and try and put a much better package on stage next year !! I know what I need to do, now I just have to get my ass in gear and put in the hard work !!

Nope I am a stubborn bastard lol still training myself, figure I will get it right one day ... thats too bad they are splitting !! had no idea ...
looking at the guys in my class I could see my weaknesses pretty easily... I haven't had a really good off season for a long time now, usually an injury or something comes up that gets in the way, I am hoping that this year I will be able to train and eat properly all the way through and put a much better physique up there next year !!!

Hey Rick,

I must say you have made some good improvements. I saw you compete at the 2006 BC's and your conditioning has improved alot since then. That's what it's all about. Getting better everytime you step on stage. Keep at it. Looks like a tough class you were. Good job man.

Thx man !! yeah 2006 was not a good year for me lol , was going through alot of crap that year and definately wasn't at my best, this show my conditioning was much better but my lower body still needs to come in sharper, something I will be working alot on this offseason !!
