While some of the stuff they sell isn't exactly up to a hard days work the return policy is pretty amazing.

Boots... First pair heel fell off after five weeks, Second pair leaked like a sponge, Third pair upgraded for 11$ to full waterproofs... we shall see. No fuss, no muss.

Coveralls... two buttons fell off after the first wash (dakota)... second pair (carharts) i suspect are pretty much bomb proof.

I've talked to guys who have made exchanging boots at Mark's almost a career. I suppose they should improve the quality of what they sell but most guys probably don't use it enough to need the extra ruggedness.

I only buy my boots from Marks, their exchange policy is great. I get a new pair of boots pretty much every year, no questions asked.

The just recently changed the policy. It's still decent but i think you must show a receipt now. Before you didn't, but i do agree. Marks has the best policy around and also made a career out of returning my boots for new ones.

I never knew that! I buy what they consider the top of the line and all i can get out of them is a summer. The pair i have now are really comfortable but the liner inside is starting to rip apart and water is starting to seep in at the top of the sole's..... So just walk in after a season and they'll exchange it?

Yea man, if Marks didnt do this I wouldnt buy their boots. I get one season out of my boots before they need replacing.

Just walk in tell em whats wrong show your reciept and you can exchange them, or get a new pair and pay the difference or get money back depending on the prices.

Do you wear them very day D? Last year really sucked i took my boots in to a shoe repair guy 4 times to get the sole's glued back on. They definitly sell comfortable boots they just don't stand up to much abuse. I was going to try and find a boot store that sold some better quailty boots, but i guess i don't have to now.

I've been wearing my boots 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, in mud in a farmer's field while carrying heavy loads rain or shine. A good pair of insoles can make an average pair of boots far more tolerable. The "sole" insoles that you heat in the oven to make a poor man's pair of custom orthotics are shockingly good.

No matter how much you spend on your boots however nothing is actually tough enough to withstand a heavy construction job. I generally wear out 2-3 pairs of gloves a week.

Thats not true, today i decided to take my dakota tarantula gloves back which i've kept the recept for. I've only worn the gloves probably a dozen times, and have had them for 3 months now, since september. I only took them back vbecause some of the grippy shit on the palm is starting to come off, and there was a hole in the tip of the middle finger. and that really sucks when doing construction, or metal roofing n sheet metal n stuff. i understand these gloves aren't really made for "work like that" well thats atleast what the girl said that worked there.

anyway if u make a bit of a fuss or just try to get to their level. u can probably return yours too. just ask to talk to the manager
