Pfff at least your in windsor, come to Toronto. I dont even live in the heart of the city, yet I still pay out the ass for insurance....

When I was 19 I think I was paying upwards of 250 a month... such a rip and this was with 0 collision or whatever the other one was called.

I found that kanetix gave me wrong insurance quotes... I went through them then called Bel Air Direct and the quote I got from Bel Air was cheaper then the kanetix website. So I would just suggest calling as well and not going through their website, you might get a cheaper rate.

That's a pretty standard rate for a 19 year old. Mine was the same down here. 260 a month on a 1987 5.0 stang. No collision or comprehensive.

I have always just gone through a local broker for the best prices and never had a problem. I figure for the number of times I need to communicate with my insurance company I don't really care who they are.

BTW yes I have made claims. I made 2 separate claims (both comprehensive) and never had any issues dealing with the broker, both times they had the car fixed by my choice of shops without a question.

Seriously? When I moved down there my rates dropped quite a bit, and I was in a 1996 mx-6 no collison or comp... I think it was around 220.

Ontario has the second highest rates in the country. It's daylight robbery f'n crooks. 8 years i've been driving without a single claim or ticket and my rates are still bullsh8t as far as I'm concerned.

If you group your house and car with the same company you will get a discount off both of up to 10%.

not up to 10%, usually 10% sometimes 12.5% and with certain insurers 15%.

If I was still in the business I'd do a quote for you, but I no longer do that. If you want the best rates for your daughter look at special risk drivers. I'd say go with Easyway Insurance, get a quote and then phone Strauss in Windsor and see if he can match the quote. You want to do some shopping. Also if your daughter is at college, she may qualify for alumni rates through TD.

My whole family drives 60s-70s drag cars on the street.

You need to break balls hard. We are with state farm, our agent is a prick but I know a real good one in etobicoke who is a car guy and does amazing deals.

btw, you should be insuring that 85 as a classic.
