You should do what most of us here do. Self prescribe.

i think it is how you approach the doctor. MOst of them have NEVER been talked to on an even basis with their patients. It is a huge wake up call for many of the doctors. They really do NOT KNOW as much as some of their patients. The patients have done loads of research and are educated enough to know what the 'big gobbleygook" words mean. The patients have a vested interest in the success of the therapy as it ain't fun having low test, high prolactin, high estrogen, high TSH and whatever else is going on.
My doctor, ( god bless her semi-retarded soul ) spoke to me like this " I am an EN- Do- Chrin-ol-o- gist ". - spoken really slow. breaking the word into it's syllables as if she were speaking some foreign language - " Do you know what that is?" she asks me.
Then after checking my nuts/dick out and checking to see if I had either of those things, she took my blood pressure, noted that it was high yet said " that's to be expected."
I said "why is high blood pressure to be expected?"
" you just had a woman touching your penis and testicles. that's why!"
The fact that she was 30 pounds overweight, ugly and almost completely repulsed me - i think i actually recoiled when she put her creepy hands on me - was something that she completely missed.
I think the key is to not show them that you know what you are talking about. or what they are talking about.

lol... that's funny.
But yeah you are right, I really shouldn't complain.... given that it is so rare.
ON a happier note, we got in contact with each other after the last batch of tests. She wanted to know if I had done whate she had requested. She made a couple of completely wrong assumptions and her opinion was no longer required so i fired her.
I did add " If you want to come back in to follow my progress, you are more than welcome but I won't miss you."
Endos are not always needed and can often hold back your progress while they wait for " More and more tests".. meanwhile you are sinking fast, you are bailing out water as fast as you can but you are getting worse each day.
Yet they want to be sure....
lol..
it's almost too funny if it wasn't so serious.
Approach your family doctor for help. THey are more apt to listen IF you are nice about it, tell them before hand everything they need to know and you are upfront about things.
Any man with high estrogen, no matter how obtained , is in need of medical help.
They help out alcoholics and crack/cocaine/heroin addicts with methadone or whatever.
BE gentle with the medical people, they are virgins when it comes to treating patients as equals and have never ever been spoken to in the matter in which some of them truly deserve.

This is important. Don't try to hide anything from your doctor. Be honest and up front and tell them everything. They have to keep it confidential anyways, so no worries about anything like that. And the proper information will help them better diagnose and properly prescribe what's needed.

You have to be careful too. Because some doctors if you mention steroids they will automatically assume that is the root of the problem. High estrogen? Steroids. Bad liver? Steroids. Torn Bicep? Steroids. Killed your wife? Steroids. Low Test? Steroids. Etc.

I don't believe you you will have no worries if you tell your Dr all. Case in point...
What if one day you have a growing family and decide to increase your life insurance. They may require a physical and your medical records. Does a life insurance company have access to your medical records of the past?
Secondly, what if you were to die, say from a heart attack and the insurance company got wind of your "use" and then refused to pay out to your family of 10.
Dr's can read between the lines with out you spelling it out for them about past use.
