I heard from a friend that ground flax seed is better than eating the whole flax seed. Is this true and if so how?

I am pretty sure the oil is the best way to go.
It works quicker and better that way, cant explain it but know I read it a few times...

Your friend is correct....but it needs to be freshly ground...so buy whole flax seeds and grind them yourself and store in the fridge.

Exactly what he said...
Your body has a hard time breaking down the whole seed. When it's ground into powder it's much easier to absorb.
This is why I advise everyone buying multivitamins or supplements to buy Organic Vegetable Capsules and not rock hard solid tablets...
I had a buddy that use to feed me Flax seed pancakes all the time. He would grind them fresh add a egg but not sure what else he added. Sounds gross but they were pretty yummy. I will try and get the recipe from his wife and post it

I've been going for the flax oil recently ever since I read that the hull of the flax seed contains lignans, which are phytoestrogens. its supposed to be good if you don't want breast cancer or are menopausal but as a bodybuilder flax seed just got a major red flag.
So at the very least now i go for oil, since its the hull or shell of the seed that contains the lignans.
