My truck has only one rust area on my truck and it is bugging the **** out of me....Here is a few pic's. What can can I do keep it from rusting more? I have yet to clean the area to show what it looks like. It kind of bleeds.

Actually the bumper to the right of this small piece was damaged before and needed re-painting so I had them re-paint that spot as well since they had the bumper off. But maybe less then a year it started again. Facking body shop I went to as well.. If they knew anything about rust they should of recommended getting it sanded down..if so indeed that what it needed?

Well you simply have to sand away all of the rust. Every last bit of it or it will just keep spreading; then paint over it to seal it. If it's too large and you are too lazy and rich get a new panel and have it painted etc.

I bring my car here...

My parents bring their car here as well. 9 years and not a single hint of rust. Prevention is the key.

cut it out and weld in new metal. even if you simply sand it off, the area will be more prone to rust again. The only real way to fully remove a problem area is to cut it out and weld new metal in

agreed with ironrobi- if it's an area you can cut it out and weld it, that's the best solution. for now though you can sand it down and repaint.

I think the part is is very small that I would just get the part replaced...maybe I will look into that instead.
