Going ot be going to the Mr. Olympia in a few weeks. Instead of sorting through all the restaurant/food reviews online and stumbling around wasting time in 5 hr buffet lines, I thought I would pose the question here.

For those of you who have come accross a great dining experience on the Las Vegas Strip(please no prostitute/hooker jokes), where was it?
Thx

i'll be there as well.. i love Vegas. staying at the Aria for 5 nights then heading to red rock resort for a couple nights before heading home to chill out...

for Sushi "Koi" at Planet Hollywood.. i'm a sushi fanatic, and it's hands down the best i've had...

more casual... i'm going with my spouse, so Mon Ami Gabi at paris, nice patio on the strip... good wine selection and not overpriced.. i usually get the mussels...

i usually find we eat pretty light down there, and consume mostly booze calories :)

Burger bar at Mandalay is my favorite, the Kobe burger.

Theres an Outback right near the Nike and M&M store too thats good.

The buffet at the Billagio was great too.

SW steakhouse at Wynn very very good

edit tipping yes, depends on the service, 15% is what I usually tip unless its amazing service.

im too cheap to eat at the places these guys are mentioning.

for me its anywhere on freemont street where meals are still $4-10.
ellis island is great place to eat. $6.99 for a steak, potatoe and a beer ( or rootbeer)
its just behind ballys.
TGIF in the hooters hotel has all u can eat ribs i think on wednesday or thursday for $16.95

south point casino. prime rib dinner for $9.95 circus circus offers the same meal for $8.99

seeing as i usually stay in my timeshare i just go to the grocery store for breakfast and lunch and only eat out at night.

tip, i just tip what i feelk is fair. i could care less if they dirt look me or not.

Good thread as I'm heading down the week after .

Last time we stayed we ate mainly at the hotel we stayed at ( Mandy Bay ) . I think your best bet for food : price ( main courses ) is eating where you stay because they usually give you good discounts .

Unfortunately, i have to think outside of just 'good deals' and 'cheap'. The guy I am going with is dieting and neurotically particular about what goes into his gullet and we may also be travelling with a girl with an eating disorder so its more quality over quantity this trip :)

and UBC- here's whats gonna happen with that bird.

shes gonna wait until you ask/beg her to come. at that point she will have gotten what she wants (attention and validation) and then will all of a sudden not be able to come for "reason x"

plus- i will eat. im off the diet as of when we leave and will be going off season when we get back. I just dont want to have a 15lb weight gain in 3 days like i did last time. Not a good start to my first ever "lean gaining" off season attempt.

And yes, quality over quantity. im not eating $3.99 early bird buffets to save a couple bucks you skin flint.

steak, steak, steak!

you can opt for the salad bar only option to most all you can eat buffets. I hit up the ponderosa and the best buffet is at the bellagio. At least that is the most I can afford buffet wise. You can always have a coffee at Ti's.

if he actually wears shorts in vegas i will tell him his legs dont suck. but if he wears pants in plus 30 heat, then i would assume his legs suck.
