wtf....it was my understanding from a while back that hgh could not be accurately detected in tests. How do they do this? New methods of detection?

He would have essentially had to have taken his injection and went directly to the test. The test window for a positive is like 6 hours. Brilliantly stupid.

^^ Correct, he must have gotten ratted out, or is just very unlucky.

Isn't it also possible that the testing has gotten better/more accurate?

it was my understanding that to test for hgh (somatropin) you had to fast for atleast 10 hours. and the test was taken in 2 or 3 increments. This means he had to of been told about the test at least a day prior or maybe 12 hours. seems fishy

The first positive was this rugby player. WADA doesn't announce or release its testing protocols.
This article say 24-48 hours but I haven't found anything that really confirms that it's this far out yet...
