Man I am so ****ing pumped!

There's a city league here in Ottawa with teams spread out across various areas. Some afluent areas with a good population base to draw from and one area with some poorer kids and a smaller population base which makes it harder for them to field a team sometimes.

The kids on this team come from broken home, been through the court system for various things and generally have a poor outlook on life. I had an opportunity to select a different team but as soon as I heard about these kids I picked them.

I can relate in a big way and hopefully I can make a difference in someone's life the way I had in mine growing up. It won't be easy as if any of these kids are like me when I was 14 then it will be frustrating I'm sure but I think the good outweigh the bad here.

First game is Sunday!

CAN'T WAIT! :D

Apparently from the other coach on the team these kids love to hit and with me running the D I can assure people that the other teams in the league will never see so many full on blitz and blitz combinations in their lives :D

Pillage and plunder, bring the thunder!

I'm curious to see how the guys all stack up. Apparently the MLB can cover like a corner and hits like an end. My dream come true! A guy where you can blitz all day and then drop back into pass coverage while sending a corner in for the kill.

This is gonna be good ****ing times :yeah

Your a good dude for doing that Natenator. Its awesome to give back to the community by helping those kids live more positive lives. Maybe with your guidance u can inspire some of them to change their path in life away from rec drugs, gangs, drinking and get em into being athletes and living a healthy life. Kudos for you for not taking the path of least resistance and taking the underdogs. With u firing em up will have to see what happens. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Congrats Nate. Its a great feeling to be able to coach kids and be a mentor to them. I coach my son's hockey teams and its almost as much fun as playing myself. Good luck in the up coming season.
