oopsy. Lost the groove of the shirt or just concentration? It looked like it travelled up to your face going down as you were trying to get it to touch.

Those spotters actually looked pretty good. How did the deadlift go after that?

The challenge with missing a lift is that it generally happens way faster than a normal person can actually react. Most of the time they are there to drag the bar off of you rather than magically save you from a heavy miss. If they had hands on the bar they might be able to react fast enough but the lift would get red lighted every time.
I'd like to see benches like elitefts's with face/neck savers used in meets but it's probably not manly enough.

You're a 220 aren't you? A 2100+ total is sick, especially with a shoulder injury. Is it a serious thing or are you bouncing back pretty quick?

i think its not serious ... today its just sore muscles.. i will give it two weeks and let things start to feel better then start kicking the crap out of it again.... now its mostly me pec and trap on the right side

I'm sick today so nothing to do but lay on the couch and watch my daughters cartoons while I surf the internet. The thread on strength vs STRENGTH and something I saw on Sesame Street got me thinking. Sesame street defined a machine as something that helps a person do something. Then I got thinking about how advanced powerlifting equipment has gotten...basically supporting every weak area of the body in an effort to allow people to lift heavier and heavier weights.
In my mind...in a way...powerlifting in some federations is attempting to mimic the use of a machine within the confines of powerlifting rules (or how they have modified them) to allow maximum weight to be lifted.
I wonder how far the progression will go and if an increasing number of people will revert back to RAW or semi-RAW lifting competitions.
I didn't want to post up my opinion because I feel it would inhibit constructive debate.

Using double ply briefs and double ply suits ?
they are both unlimited by the rules. 2.5 meter knee wraps... I dont really like te suit i have now... its a good suit but I don't think that canvas is for me... I squatted 805 in those briefs without the suit or knee wraps... and it was a lot easier..
but back to the question, yes i have double ply briefs and suit on
