Looking to buy a juicer to get all my veggies in me.

Anyone recommendations?

Looking for easy cleanup, good blend and something that doesnt break down after a month.

Thanks

If you can afford it get a Vita-mix or a blend tech (check youtube). Juicers are a b***h to clean, from my experience anyway.

Actually not the best idea...removes the best part of the fruit ie fribre and pulp...concentrates the sugar...not what you want...much healthier to eat plain raw fruit or veggies.

If it was blended rather than juiced? I assume it would be better then as it would keep all the pulp and fibre in it?

ya juicers suck, A buddy of mine received a nice one for a gift so we go out buy kiwis apples strawberries etc... make all these great tasting blends of juice.

then you have to clean these things, they come apart in about 20 pieces, and theres the fruit pulp and peels etc.. stuck allover everything, what a ****ing mess.

so my buddy used this thing once and never again lol.

You are still concentrating sugar...there is no reason to have that sugar....it is better to limit it by eating whole fruit...there are no health benefits to juicing.

I'm going to jump on the just eat your fruits and veggies bus here. Juicers are stupid and remove the best part of the fruit (the fiber) and leave the worst part (the sugar).

How so? Wouldn't blending it just be like pre-chewing, your not exactly concentrating anything if your not adding or removing anything.

Hell ya, i've had mine now going on 18 years! That thing will pulverize blocks of wood, not that there is any nutritional value in wood, but it can if you had the urge :yeah

So tell me when you make orange juice you use just one orange right? Think about it.

P, when i blend it up in my vita mix i drop it in whole peel and all, add ice, some isolate and splenda and dam that orange sorbet is awesome!! :)
(occasionally i will omit the peel)

Still healthier to eat just the raw fruits and veggies? I use greens so i dont eat a lot of raw veggies.

No no I'm not talking about the juicer, I'm talking about like dropping the whole orange in a blender. Would it not be just the same as eating the orange? Again I'm talking about a blender that doesn't extract the juice and discard the fiber, but just blends the entire orange up into a drinkable smoothie.

Always better to eat fruit and veggies in as raw form as possible. Concentrating juice is just increasing the amount of sugar you ingest...its simple math.

I'm still not following.
If I take a whole orange and eat it, how is that different then taking a whole orange, blending it until a thick liquid, then drinking the whole thing? It's not concentrated, same amount of sugar, same amount of fiber, just less chewing, unless there's something else I'm missing. It would be a little more processed then just chewing, but I wouldn't think this would make that much of a difference.

If it was only one orange then yes fairly equal...my point is nobody does just one orange.

My daughter took this course for her TKD on nutrition and they said the same thing P is saying. They were saying how would you feel if you were to eat half a pineapple and 5 oranges in one sitting, which is pretty much how much you would use to juice.

Juicers tend to have 2 or 3 of those types of drinks a day, at least thats what i used to do.

What if its not fruits your blending but veggies (Spinach and other green veggies)? Like broccoli and spinach have very little sugar like 1 or 2 grams per 100g. Would that make much of a difference?
