Ive been looking around for a smaller one, and came across Excalibur Dehydrator. Just wondering if anyone has one and has any experience with ANY dehydrators?

if u are talking about food dehyrdators to make beef jerky.... i bought one from walmart for like 40$... used it a few times, but could never get the beef jerkey to taste like anything other than beef. also im pretty sure it sucks on power consumption as you have to leave it on for forever.

Yea, well it depends on your recipe. Im sure its better power consumption then leaving my oven on for the same period of time.

A small dehydrator consumes 300 watts or less of electricity, think 3 light bulbs. Power consumption is usually stamped on the bottom of the unit.
