:) I meant finish them with a tko, or ko, or a sub! seems like he gets alot of 5 round dominant decisions!

Does he win the fights or lose them? I can't remember ;)

If GSP loses to Koschek you will see a whole lot of unfinished championship fights.

I'm surprised as many of his fights go the distance actually. I'd expect more submissions than he's got. I don't see him knocking too many out though, he's not a power hitter.

His last fight in March was a complete bore-fest. I guess Im just a boxing fan cause I like to watch people stand up and hit eachother rather than roll around on the ground for several minutes at a time accomplishing nothing really at all

I think the UFC should have a 30 second time limit for ground submissions. Then stand them back up and make the fight entertaining again.

Ground game is only boring to those that don't practice, or at least understand, it.

why risk getting knocked out standing up, or give up position to lock a sub in, just dominate in wrestling keeps him safe and in great position, if no one can bring the fight to him thats not his fault

well i dont think gsp has knockout power and we seen in the fight vs hardy he could not put it away so the trend seems to be 5 round dominate decision wins for him which is good but i dont see him pulling off a anderson silva 23rd minute come from behind win, the hardy fight musta made him think WTF.

hes got the best conditioning, its good for him to have the fight drag for 25 min...

also i think gsp would easily beat silva by doing what he does best thats wrestle and positioning, we have now seen a weakness of silvas, and gsp would not make the mistake that chael did. still my top 3 is silva, gsp, lesnar.

Also we will see within the next 2 years that brock lesnar will be ranked #1 in the pound for pound best, i dont see this guy losing to anyone! and i think he is far more of an athlete than gsp.

best mma athletes lesnar, gsp, aldo.

I think Dos Santos could knock out Brock.Hardy risked his arm big time not tapping to St.Pierre.

totally disagree, if anyone has a chance vs brock its carwin, but he has to come in better, and no hardy did not risk his arm, gsp just could not finish.

Hardy said he was on the verge of damage post fight,he was lucky.Really hate to have to break this to you,but Brock will never be able to stand with a puncher,he received very favorable treatment from that ref,I will be surprised if he can defend his title for any length of time.

Yer ****in right.

Brock, pound 4 pound #1? Ahhhhh..... maybe if Dana's paying the guy making up the list.
He's big, strong and athletic....and a great wrestler...... thats about it.
Carwin exposed him, Brock has no standup and when he faces a guy who's as strong as him he's ****ed.
He doesn't like getting hit, he turns his back and puts his head down..... he can't take it.
Carwin would have won the rematch, but seeing as in some places he's dropped to #6 in the rankings I'm thinking Dana doesn't want to see that rematch.

it's done in Judo if too much time is wasted on the ground with no progress they will stand you up.. there is no set time on this and it is judges discretion

Granted but Judo is obviously a different sport with other areas of emphasis. I think if you put a time limit on ground work you will wind up again with people manipulating the rule. Personally I prefer a good MMA ref that stands the fighters up when no reasonable progress is being made. That said, many officials seem to be dragging their ass on restarts lately and I can understand the frustration.

I think Brock is going to find he has his hands full with Cain Valasquez. He's more of a threat than Carwin or Dos Santos. He's only had 1 fight in the UFC that wasn't a KO win and it was a decision win. His hands are as heavy as anyone's in the HW class and he has ground skills to go with it. He's no joke.

GSP is god. End of story. The fact he can go full out for 25 mins is anything but a fault. BJJ/Wrestling at UFC level is like pro golf, you have no clue how complicated and intricate it really is until you are doing it and then you have a new respect for it immediately. Anyone who can make a fighter the caliber of BJ Penn (as much as I hate that douchebag) throw in the towel, litterally, is on another level than 99.9%.

I doubt we'll ever see the GSP vs Silva battle. Silva is a natural 205-220 and GSP walks around at most 15lbs off his class. GSP's frame doesn't not support the size required to move up without sacrifice of some things that make him as good as he is now. Maybe a 175 catch weight, where Silva has to deplete the shit out of himself to make weight would be the only thing that balances out the "real fight weight" the next day after weigh-ins.

Velasquez has never lost a round.

Velasquez has never lost a round.

Valid point... Against limited opposition granted.

IMHO the biggest thing that set Carwin apart is that he was able to stuff Brocks takedown attempts and make Brock stand up.
I'm not sure Cain has the strenth or ability to keep Brock off of him, but I guess thats kinda the whole fight there isn't it? Cain by KO or Brock by ground & pound.

I'm picking Brock, ground & pound for as long as it takes. Don't think Cain can keep him off.
