Your lacking in the protein dept. Not saying that's the reason , but step it up.

How long have you been eating clean ? I know anytime I make a diet change ( have it good or bad ) I go through that too. Once your body gets use to the change you'll be alright.

Might be too much dairy for you to handle right now. Try replacing your dairy with other foods and see what happens

You can think that all you want.... you are still gonna be wrong though.

Unless you are a 120lbs girl you are gonna need more protein than this to get big.

Is this one meal that you eat 5-7 times throughout the day, or is it all the food that you eat for an entire day? Because it is a huge single meal, but not really very much food if it is all that you eat in a day.

When you said this was a change to eating big I thought you might be a gnome.

C'mon dude, at your stats you should be eating much more. Do a search for bulking diets to get an idea what eating big is. :)

I was thinking the same thing. I hope this is one meal.

if this is all your daily food intake then,
this is the perfect example of those guys that say they eat SOO MUCH food, and still cant grow.

We can provide better advice if you break your food consumption into specific meals. As in:

Meal 1

Meal 2

azfar
29-07-2010, 09:43 AM
Meal 1 : 2 cups of milk with oat meal in it ( 420 cal )
1 fibre1 bar ( 90 cal)
1 bowl of nesquick cereal ( 120 cal )
Meal 2 : 1/2 cup of cotage cheese ( 110 cal )
2 slices of whole bread with Pb ( 390 cal )
1 ON 100% whey ( 120 cal )
Meal 3 : 1/2 cup of cotage cheese ( 110 cal )
2 slices of whole bread with almond butter ( 400 cal )
1 cup yogurt ( 70 cal )
some fruits ( app. 100 cal )
meal 4 : 1 chichken breast ( 120 cal )

Ok, go to the link below and determine your daily caloric maintenance. In order to grow you must be at least 500 calories over maintenence. Below the link is an example of my bulking diet at 5' 7" about 205 lbs. You can use it as a guide for the types of food you should be eating. You have to determine calories and make sure your diet is composed of 40% protein/40% carbs/20% GOOD fats. :)

http://www.fitnessandfreebies.com/fitness/maintainm.html

Meal 1: I cup dry volume oatmeal and 50 grams whey isolate protein

Meal 2: Post-workout: shake with 50 grams dextrose, yogurt, banana, and 50 grams isolate

Meal 3: 2 cans salmon and rice or pasta

Meal 4: 7 oz beef with rice or pasta and vegetables

Meal 5: 3 1/2 oz beef or 7 ozs chicken with a big load of pasta

Meal 6: shake with yogurt and 50 grams isolate

I also snack on cashews and almonds for additional good fats.

Do this.

I think we are going to have to be more specific with this guy pdh, what do you think 1 cup of pasta/ rice per meal just cause he is starting out? IME with guys who don't know how to eat, if you say pasta, they will eat like 1/4 of a box of mac and cheese.

Also drink more water like L3 says.

**** counting calories, thats half your battle. Eat like a fat kid in a buffet, but keep your diet away from instant foods, deep fried foods, and basically shit food. So feel free to ingest good foods. Also include leafy greens and other happy vegies. I for one enjoy farting around my workmates, juvenile yes, but hey in my line of work we do wierd shit because we are on the road so long.

Ok, you're obviously not listening to us at all. ****ing pumpkin seeds.

Maybe you should take up darts or something.

Your diet should consist of beef, chicken, fish, eggs, skim milk and products, whey protein, rice, pasta, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, bananas, green salads, almonds, cashews, and good fats like olive oil. Throw everything else out and eat these foods, or don't grow. Make a choice.

Shortdave

Dude pdh wrote out an entire diet for you. follow it and get bigger.

As a powerlifter I have a few tricks that I like to throw in, here is one of them. Drink 1 liter of 18% coffee cream per day. Every day that doesn't start with an "S".

Do it and grow.

macka
29-07-2010, 08:40 PM
I think he needs a litre of 35% on days that end in Y, plus what PdH suggested

In simple words. Yes.

You are bulking, you can eat pretty much any food you want as long as you eat a lot of it. Eat it until you think you are going to throw up, then wait until your stomach settles down and eat some more of it.

I don't know you and I don't know what you want to do with your physique. What I do know is that if want to keep your abs visible while trying to put on muscle, you better be a genetic freak who is on a perfect diet and drug program.
If you aren't said genetic freak, then you need to decide which is more important to you right now, putting on some muscle or being lean.

keeping that in mind lets say first i put on muscle mass with obviously some fat and then go on cutting phase with low fat high protein diet ... will i be able to look lean then ?

Yes, think of it as 2 or three steps forward and one step back. It's a marathon not a sprint.

BINGO!

or high protein-med carb-low fat
or high protein-low carb-high fat
or high protein-no carb-low fat
or high protein-variable carbs-mod fat

they all work but it's how you can manipulate the diet caloricly to achieve your results.

macka

having more muscle also makes cutting easier, if you can say that cutting is easy. I find cutting hard because of being on the road a lot. I just have to plan my meals ahead of time.
