Leaning out a bit right now before a sept bulk. Was thinking of doing a show before i turn 30, (3 yrs) just curious what BF percentage competitors are usually at when on stage? And what are the weight classes?? I am leaning out very nicely but getting smaller than im comfortable with, just trying to figure out how much lean mass i need to put on to fit into a weight class??
When I competed most were around 6 - 8%. They're a couple of points lower these days with all the "supplements" available.

My calipers show 3.5% but i say whatever, it's not accurate anyway. Doesn't really matter, you just gotta diet down and see where you end up when you look your best.

BINGO...makes absolutely no difference...you are lean when your worst body part is shredded.

I think calipers are a useful tool though... I mean if you are reading anywhere above a ten... you are not ready for stage... in my opinion.
(Leigh 3.5 weeks out was caliper reading 6%... leaner now... chicks usually sit fatter than guys... )
Just remember.. You can't hide any fat in a a mankini!
